Delta POV (3rd person):
Current Ages: 7Everything was blurry.
And loud.
There were sirens blaring, lights flashing, and Delta could barely see anything due to the blood that was now dripping down his face.
He didn't like it, but he knew they had to get out somehow.
They were surrounded, so no easy chance of getting out, but he didn't really care, as long as Phoenix was safe, that was all that mattered to him at the moment.
Luckily, Phoenix was fine, he stood next to Delta, slightly behind him, holding onto his arm. Delta kept himself in front of Phoenix, ready to attack at any needed moment. He didnt understand why the scientists that were left even bothered at this point. Most of their coworkers laid dead, either burnt to a crisp or had so many scratch marks on them they weren't recognizable anymore.
"Stop this madness you two! We'll surrender if you stop!"
Delta's gaze shot over to the voice. There stood a scientist, one he'd never seen before. She had short, curly, fiery red hair. Her skin was a light tan, and she had diamond blue eyes. Her uniform had clearly not been put on properly, and she had on a pair of round, cat-eye glasses, which had a bunch of cracks on them.
"Kiara what are you doing! We can't surrender, those two are way too dangerous!" One of the scientists in front of them yelled at her. "They're children! Plus, more of us are just going to die if we don't stop trying to catch them!"
The scientist, not the one who was trying to surrender, looked at Delta and Phoenix, then back at the other, whose name was apparently Kiara. "And? We'll just hire more. This type of thing has happened before, we can't risk them getting loose."
Kiara's jaw hung open. "Are you kidding me? You would rather risk the lives of your coworkers for some children, who are only fighting to keep themselves safe?!"
While those two were arguing, Delta took a moment to observe everything.
They were in a small, empty white room. It wasn't as white as it must've been before, as there was so much blood everywhere now. There were about 4 other scientist still left alive, besides Kiara and the one she had been arguing with. However, they were still enough to make it tricky to get out.
Phoenix was still behind him, looking around the room as well.
Phoenix was the only family he's ever had, and with how the two looked, family was very important to have.
Both were darker skinned, but that was about the only thing human about them. Phoenix had medium-length, bright red hair, that looked to be constantly burning at the tips. His eyes were completely black, and always looked to have a matching black dripping substance from them. There was a third eye on his forehead, which was how he was able to keep his vision any good. His mouth was melted a bit, which made it tricky for him to talk, so he didn't very often. His hands were much like his hair, always looked to be burning, and weren't really even hands. His legs were pretty much the same. Along with this, he had four small horns on his head, and dragon wings and a tail.
Delta however, was the complete opposite.
His hair was around the same length as Phoenix's, except his was a bright blue, and the tips looked a lot like water. His eyes were normal, being a piercing blue color, that were just barely unnatural looking. His nails extracted, much like a cats claws, and those were really his only line of defense. Now, whereas Phoenix was more of a dragon, Delta had three, somewhat small, sets of wings on his back, and another set on his head where his ears should be.
Despite their looks, and what many of the scientists always assumed, Phoenix, who was basically made of fire, was practically harmless. Delta was the one they should worry about.
They learned that the hard way.
After observing a bit, Delta came up with a plan.
"Stay right here, okay..?" He whispered to Phoenix, who nodded in response.
{Trigger warning for gore up ahead}
Luckily for Delta, the scientists were all pretty much distracted at this point, so he took this moment to attack. He lunged at one of the closest scientists, immediately sinking his claws into her neck.
She let out a piercing screech, and all the other scientists looked over. They tried grabbing Delta off her, but his grip was much too strong, and when they managed to get him off, the scientist's neck was just covered in blood, almost as if part of it had been ripped off.
Delta bit the scientist's, the one that had grabbed him off, arm, his teeth being sharp enough he bled. However, the scientist didn't let go.
Delta wasn't going to let that slide.
He clawed at the scientist, managing to get at his arms, chest, and some of his neck. The scientist let go, screeching in pain as he bled out.
Delta then looked around. 3 left. Kiara had left the room. Good. Delta thought. Gives me a reason to not have to hurt her.
He lunged at another one of the scientists, who was trying to grab Phoenix.
He clawed at his back, pushing him down to the ground, where he continued to claw at him, ripping small chunks off his back. There was no more screaming. All of it died down as the scientists were slowly dying of blood loss. Or more so he hoped they were dead.
The other two scientists had also left, most likely not wanting to die. Whatever, there was no point in going after them.
"Let's go, before they call backups."
Phoenix nodded and grabbed onto Delta's hand, or well the best he could considering his hand wasn't really a hand. And with that, the two ran out, finally able to get to the exit the scientists had been blocking them from.
{WOOO NEW BOOK- These two are some new ocs of mine, and I had some fun lore in mind for them, so here i am writing it in a book.}
