This is an AU of sorts, and this is for @soraoutofhere zap. This is a mute Apollo AU, where torture permanently scarred Apollo.  Many parts are based off the Not so Sunny Sun God. I highly recommend reading that.

After nearly 5 months of torture, it makes sense that one would be scarred to the point of no return. After all, that's what happened to Apollo. Many... many tramaic things. The death of daphne, or Hyacinthus. Python, or the wrath of his father. This, though, this surpasses all

{~Flashback-start~}

"F-father! P-please! No!" Said Apollo, slowly backing away from the looming power weapon that was his fathers lightning bolt. Zeus, king of the sky, and Olympus stood over head, not giving a dam on what he said, even though Apollo was his son.

"You brought this upon yourself" said the twisted corrupted king of the gods. He threw the bolt straight into Apollo's chest, causing him to disintegrate.

Apollo found himself trapped in a golden net, where he burned in Greek fire for 3 months. Then being hit, cut, bruised, by his father to test if he was truly mortal. After 5 months of torture, Artemis found him. When she asked what's wrong, he just sobbed. After being given ambrosia and nectar, her tried to give thanks, but he couldn't form words. He signaled for a piece of paper and a pen, yet she didn't even understand. After a bit, he regained enough energy, he summoned the pen and piece of paper he wanted, he wrote:
Thank you sister for finding me. I am grateful for everything you have done right now.
And he shoved it in her face.
Artemis looked angry for a second, before her anger dissipated when she saw the note, she looked happy, she really was. Yet deep down, she was a bit worried on why he couldn't just say that himself. Was the torture he had gone through that bad he couldn't speak?
