The sun was starting to set on that autumn evening, one that both of the kids would surely remember for the rest of their lives. There was an orange scarf wrapped around Missy's neck, a matching red one around Devon's. They were walking, hand in hand, strolling along the sidewalk path outside of their favorite coffee shop.

Of course neither of them actually liked coffee, they just got cake pops and sprite but I digress.

They talked and walked for what felt like forever. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, and before they knew it they had been out there for the entire evening, it was practically dark outside when they had reached Missy's house, there was a light breeze floating through the air that seemed to drag them impossibly closer together.

The orange leaves that blew across the ground as they kissed seemed like a scene in a romantic movie, Devon's hand rested on her hips as hers went to his shoulders. Their lips moved on sync as his thumb slowly stroked her side.

"I love you, Missy Foreman-Greenwald"

She flicked him on the nose and kissed him on the cheek before heading inside. Once the door was closed she slid down to the floor with her back against it. "Yes!" She silently cheered to herself while closing her eyes and letting out a slow breath.
