FOOL'S GOLD is innately deceptive - initially perceived as something valuable, only to be deemed worthless upon further inspection. In some ways, you were very much like this iron pyrite. To some, you are of the same worthlessness as faux gold. To others, you are the pure opposite - gold itself. Gold in its most uncontaminated and most valuable form, in a form they'd very much like to hide away from others.

Aegrodin is a world much unlike many. United by a mere five countries, Aegrodin houses a plethora of mankind and monsterkind alike.
The country of Adalsinde is home to vampiric kind, in which these beings bear a high resemblance to the assumption of an elegantly gothic lifestyle. The birthplace of fashion, the country promotes a sense of beauty, with great emphasis is based on royalty and order. This aforementioned order is ultimately determined by the pureness of blood. Royal blood sits atop a mighty throne, with pure blood waiting to strike beneath. High blood asserts an icy sense of power despite its tertiary rank, with low blood sniveling against harsh soil in the confines of ashen chains.
Creatures of Gaultier are known for their rugged features and innate strength, being none other than werewolves. While a hierarchy does exist, it is fragile and based on strength rather than blood - with gender being irrelevant. Each year a festival is held to determine the strongest of the country, in which the weakest are either shunned or forced into labor immediately following their fall. A select group of werekind opposes this method of social hierarchy and has formed the very beginnings of a rebellion. These beings are beings of social abnormality, and though they may be shunned, they are not to be ignored.
Dobroslav houses perhaps the most unlikely of combinations, with inhabitants of both angelic and demonic descent. A general hierarchy is set in stone, and yet it is not determined by breed, but by blood. Much similar to the vampiric order, Dobroslav allows royal blood to sit atop a throne of obsidian and gold. Certain bloodlines have given oaths to serve, while others grovel in the streets. The current rulers of the aforementioned country are the Hellian King and the Luminescent Queen - the former Prince and Princess of the once-separated Hell and Heaven, respectively. While peace may stand within the united country, it stands feebly, ready to collapse under the smallest of pressures.
Yeongsu is a country of both eternal life and death. Containing a plethora of zombies, Yeongsu is perhaps the most diverse group of beings in all of Aegrodin. Not only are there members of each country's respective kind, but the features are plentiful and unique. Little emphasis is placed on social hierarchy, and instead focused on life magic. Many place their focus on protecting plant breeds at risk of extinction, while others emphasize the medicinal purpose of magical herbs. The most serene, wise, and unique of countries, Yeongsu is known to be beautiful despite the connotations that come with the undead. Both flora and fauna are plentiful, and many vacation here during the warmer months. Unsurprisingly enough, the many people of Yeongsu are united under one simple characteristic - their endless need for sleep.
The final, and perhaps most dismissed country, is none other than Mephistophiia. A country that houses Aegrodin's "rejected", as monsterkind commonly exclaims, Mephistophiia is the home of humanity. Unsurprisingly, and much like other worlds, great discrimination exists between the country of mankind and all others. While fables of monsterkind depict humans as rejected by the gods, many myths of mankind depict monsters as just that - monsters; beings punished by the gods, who are not to be associated with. As with such, Mephistophiia is increasingly closed off from the world, and despite their attempts to banish all remnants of monsterkind, they cannot banish themselves - at least not entirely. Witches, a unisex term, define the infinitesimal population of humans that bear the capability to produce magic. This magic may be born at any point in life, though typically arises between the ages of ten and sixteen. The stronger the witch, the younger their magic appears.
