he reaches his hand out the window  and marinette reaches out hers to hold his but its too late and the car drives away.

Marinette wakes up with tears in her eyes as the her phone alarm goes crazy

been a while since i had that dream she thinks
she usually gets up mid afternoon
everyday thanks to her alarm never going off , but this time she made sure it was gonna go off.
for today is special ,she's up extra early as its a special charity masquerade ball the mayor is holding full of the most important famous and influential people in paris.

She takes a cold shower to wake herself up lathering herself in strawberry soap. getting out of the shower she gets a call from alya

"Hey girl ready for the big day? maybe you know who will be there!". alya says excitedly

" yeah i know but surely he doesn't really remember me , besides my parents are catering and they need me so i won't be able to look for him or mess around ".

" Marinette,do you not remember that totally romantic scene that happened right infront of the school back in the 8th grade who could forget that, also never say never im sure you'll be able to enjoy the ball fully."alya smiles mischevously as if she's planning something

"Marinette please come help us with the cake!" marinettes mom yells out downstairs as her and marinettes dad carry a big 6 layer cake.

" better go help you parents mari byeee see you at the ball".alya says boldly

"wait what what do you mean you'll see me at the ball??."Marinette tries to question her friend but alya hangdd up before she could do so.

before thinking further she hears her mom call her again and runs downstairs to help.

time passes and the evening comes its almost time for the ball

" marinette i got you something new to wear while catering its upstairs come on I'll show you."sabine says as she opens the doors

marinette sits down with her mother as she pulls out a fancy looking box
she opens it and reveals a beautiful red gown, red shoes and a golden mask with red details

marinette stares in awe
" who are they for?" marinette asks
" well your friend alya told me theres a special person at the ball your hoping to see and i thought my little marinette is all grown up i want to support her."

"thank you mom, but i can't this is a big job for you and dad and your gonna need a lot of help i should be there to support you."marinette says in a sad tone trying to seem happy

" oh don't worry about that we have that covered please i want you to be able to enjoy your youth and ever since that boy left you havent been the same."

Marinette and her mom share a deep warm hug.

She goes into her room and her mom helps her put on the grand gown. Her corset is tightened and her heels give her some height. Her mom puts curls in her long hair along with blush and lipstick .

They finish and
go back downstairs

there she is!
marinette hears a familliar voice

all her dear friends are there in black suits and neatly tied hair
as she walks downstairs they all surround her
" Hi everyone what are you all doing here?."marinette asks
" well didn't i tell you you'd probably be able to enjoy the ball fully, Since you said your parents would need help we all gathered to help you". alya says in a confident tone
