The First and Last Memories

~Chapter 9~

Having a birthday on the same day as your half-sister is different from having your birthday alone. Today was my birthday but also Bella's. I got ready as my dad knocked on my door, just coming from Bella's room. ''Happy birthday munchkin'' he says to me and gives me a present. ''I love it dad. Thank you'' I say kissing his cheek as he hugs me. He got me a new camera to take pictures.  ''How did you grow so old so fast'', ''I didn't dad'' I say. ''Is that a grey hair I see'' he says. ''What!'' I say in shock rushing to my mirror. ''Hahahha, very funy dad'' I say. I walked towards Bells her room and walked in. ''Hey Bells, congratulations'' I say kissing her cheek. ''You two sis'' she says. ''It's still getting used to that'' She says and I nod. ''Yeah it is''. Together we drove to school. There we were greated with Mike, Jessica, Angela and Eric. We took a picture together as the Cullens arrived. Jasper and Emmet walked to me as I smile at them. ''Happy birthday Darling'' Jasper says kissing me. ''Congratulations babe'' Emmet says while also kissing me. We walk in to school hand in hand each boy on one side of me. ''Mel'' I hear Alice say as she jumps over the railing to me. ''Happy birthday'' she says and hugs me. ''seven tonight our place. Your gonna love this'' Alice says while handing me a present. ''Thank you, Ali. Thank you Luke'' I say smiling at her and Luke. My mates see Bella and we walk to her and Edward. ''Happy birthday Bella'' Emmet says hugging her. Alice gives her present to Bella as I stand with Jasper and Emmet joins us. ''Seven tonight our place. Your gonna love it and wear it. I've already seen it'' Alice says hugging Bella. ''I thought I said no presents'' Bella says. ''Thought wrong sister'' I say. Bella looks hesistant as Jasper changes her emotions to exciting. ''Alright'' Bella says and then looks our way. ''Jasper no fair changeing my emotion'' Bella says. ''Sorry. happy-'' He begins but stops as he sees her look. ''You know, never mind''. We walk away from Bella as Jasper looks at me. ''You're coming over earlier. Rosalie wants to get you ready for your party'' Jasper says. ''I would like that. I need to catch Rosalie up to speed with everything'' I say as we walk towards our classes. 

Rosalie did my make-up and hair as I got dressed in my new clothing that I got from Alice. As she was done with me she walked me to the office of Carlisle where my mates were. I enter and see them looking at me with dark eyes. ''You look beautifull'' I hear Jasper say. ''Thanks Darling'' I say and kiss them both. My eyes catch a painting on the wall. ''What's that?'' I ask. ''That the Volturi'' Emmet says. ''They are very old, very powerfull family. I guess they're the closest thing to royalty my world has'' Jasper explains. ''Is that Carlisle?'' I ask seeing the said man on the painting. ''yeah. He lived with them a few decades. Described them as very refined. No respect or human life, of course but respect for the arts of and the sciences, at least. And the law. Above all the law'' Emmet says going further with the story. ''You vampires have laws?'' I ask. ''a few. Only one that's regularly enforced'', ''What is it?'' I ask Emmet. ''That we keep the existence of our kind a secret. We don't make spectacles of our selves, that we don't kill conspiciously. Unless you of course want to die'' Jasper says. ''If something happens to me. You need to promise me that you won't go to the Volturi, promise me'' I say to my mates. ''We promise'' they say both to me. ''It's time'' Alice says as she pulls me and Bella with her. Edward, Emmet and Jasper following us behind. We get to the other livingroom where all the family members are. ''Sorry about all this. We tried to rein Alice in'' Carlisle says helping me down the steps. ''As if that was possible. Happy birthday girls'' Esme says while hugging us. We hear a clicking sound and a flash and see Alice with my camera. ''I found it in your bag. Do you mind?'' Alice asks. ''Of course not Ali'' I say smiling at her. ''Dating an older women. Hot'' Luke says smiling at Edward. ''You first Rosalie'' Alice says. Rosalie hands Bella a small present and a bigger one to me. ''It's a necklace, Alice picked it out'' Rosalie says to Bella. ''I picked yours myself'' she whispers to me as I smile at her. ''Thanks'' Bella says. ''Thank you Rose'' I say hugging her. Alice drags Edward to Bella and takes pictures of them while saying ''Show me the love''. ''This one is from Emmet'' Alice says giving Bella a present. Bella shakes it and looks confused. ''Already installed it in you truck'' Emmet says ''Finally a descent sound system in that piece of-''. ''Hey, don't hate the truck'' Bella says. ''Open Esme's and Carlisle's'' Alice says both handing Bella and I a small present. ''Just a little something to brighten your day girls'' Carlisle says. ''you've been looking kind of pale lately'' Esme says to us. ''auw, Paper cut'' Bella says and shows her finger to Edward. Bella you idiot was my thought immediatly. I turn to Jasper who stood next to me. Edward pushes Bella away with a bit to much force. Jasper wants to lunge at Bella but I jump in front of me. Jasper looks in my eyes and calmes a bit down. I walk to him taking his face in my hands. ''Sstt Jasper calm down'' I say and I wrap my arms around him. He inhales my scent and calms down at it. ''Jasper it's just a little blood'' Luke says his voice faltering. Every family member looks at Bella who's arm was bleeding badly. ''Every member who can't control his bloodlust come with me'' I say and walk with Jasper and every member except Carlisle away from the room. 

Jasper sat outside alone. After checking up on everyone I walked to him. He sat on a log as I sit down in his lap. ''Baby, look at me'' I say ''Baby''. He looks at me and I see his hurt. ''I slipped up Mel, I-'', ''No, you didn't'' I begin. ''Bella is stupid enough to get a paper cut in a room full of vampires. You slipped up okay, it happens to everyone sometimes. You calmed down immediatly you couldn't even get to her on time or you calmed down'' I say kissing his cheek. ''You kept your cool and fought back the bloodlust. You should be proud of yourself. Edward threw my sister that's the reason she bleeds right know'' I say prepping his face full of kisses. ''I couldn't have calmed down if it wasn't for you'' Jasper says. ''Everythings is okay now'' I say as he kisses me hard. Jasper pulls away as Emmet walks towards us. ''We both got you something for you birthday'' Emmet says. They each give me a present. I open them in in one is a ring and in the other a necklace. ''We promise to love you forever'' Emmet says. ''I will love you two for ever'' I say.

The boys brought me home after our night at the Cullens. I gave them both a kiss and walked up to my room. They both would go back to the house and I would see them the next day. I fell asleep having a feeling that something is gonna happen and its not gonna be something good.
