" so?.... What do you think? ". He heard his grandma say as he looked at the duplex in front of him. The house wasn't anything much, just an overgrown front yard, white wooden fence. ' hmm... Wonder how the back would look like '. He thought as he nodded towards her. " you like it, right? ". She said looking at him intently, looking for the slightest emotions. The boy just nodded at her again and walked into the front yard looking around. She looked at his back and sighed, he's always been like this. Hardly talks nor eat, AMD he doesn't show any emotions other than that annoying blank face. She follows him into the yard and looks around as well. ' well seems okay' he said to himself. "Alright dear, let's start taking the boxes in okay" she said as she turned around heading back to the van. She hired a moving company to help with their moving. "okay boys go ahead, but be careful with the blown glass okay.... They're really fragile". She said as the men nodded and started carry the boxes into the house. She then looked around and spotted the boy heading towards the back of the house. " dear, please be careful okay, I saw some rusty nails at the backyard.... Don't get poked okay". She yelled as the boy just waved his hand without turning back.' Sigh that woman'. He thought as he reached the backyard. He looked around as he saw the really big space before him. He saw an old dog hose by the side and walked towards it. He ran his finger across the old dusty roof of the dog house. He then walked towards the other side of the yard where and axe was leaning against the white fence. He picked it up and ran his finger against the sharp end. "Still sharp after a long time ". He said to no one in particular. " Hiya!!". He looked up to see a girl across the fence looking at him beaming. He didn't reply back and just stared at her. " uhh...I'm Britney but you can call me Brit for short, what's your name? ".she asked looking at the cute guy in front of her holding an axe. He didn't say anything and kept staring at her.
" okayyy.... Well I live next door, and I'll like to be your friend. Since your new here why don't I show you around, they'll be lots of places to see". She said. ' Geez, she talks too much '. He thought to himself. He then nodded his head and opened his mouth.
" I'm vayne". He said in a deep husky voice.
Brittney gasped as she heard his voice. He sounded so relaxed and carefree, immediately a tiny blush appeared on her cheeks. She averted her gaze looking at every where but him. " it's nice to meet you vayne". She said. " I'll see you around then". He said as he turned around walking back to the house. " Ah.. O.. Okay then... I'll see you later". She yelled as she stood there watching his disappearing figure.
