Luke pov:

( the next day after he learned that she likes him back )
I got ready for school and I went to go pick Ophelia up. I have no idea what we are anymore, I want to be her boyfriend but if we broke up would are relationship be ruined? I wouldn't be able to handle that because she's the only friend I have. I'm sure that if we did break up we would stay friends though so everything would be ok if we did date! I knocked on her door nervously and she opened the door with a big smile on her face. " hey " she said then she kissed me on the cheek. I started blushing a lot and she giggled " are you ok Luke?" She asked me. " yeah just didn't expect that" I responded with. " so um Lia will you date me?" " oh I thought we were dating"        " well I guess that answer my question " after I said that we both laughed then hugged each other. We both got to school and right when I stepped in Natalie came up to me. " yes? " I said hoping she would say something real quick then leave us alone. " I was thinking a lot last night and I realized I love you so let's date" " I'm sorry Natalie but no. I am sorry though " " oh let me guess your shadow won't let you date someone". After she decided to be rude to Ophelia I decided that I was done being nice. She hurts Ophelia much until she has the lowest self esteem I've ever seen. " No Lia is not my shadow she's my girlfriend!!!" I screamed at her. Everyone around me looked at us, soon after I screamed that me, Natalie, and Lia where in the middle of a huge crowd. Natalie's " friends" decided to come to her rescue. " don't yell at her!" One of her friends said to me. Lia tried to get out of the crowd but they wouldn't let her because people where using us for their entertainment. " STOP!" I heard Ophelia scream and I looked and saw two popular girls holding her down on the ground and another one kicking her. " what do you think you're doing!!!" I said gently getting the popular girls off Ophelia because I know if I didn't do it gently they would be "hurt" and I would be the one in trouble. " I'm letting her know that she made a bad mistake. All she is is a freak that needs to stay in the shadows away from everyone" " stop acting like Lia is some freak! Oh no she has a scar SO WHAT " I said in a furious tone. Natalie slapped me then said " go take your shadow and leave her alone!" After she said that someone handed her a drink and she pored it on Ophelia's head. I tried to stop some of the drink but she still got soaked anyway. After that the crowd laughed and made fun of us then went back to a normal day.

Ophelia's pov:

I can't take them anymore, every single day they either hurt me or make me feel sad. I felt the tears starting to run down my face and Luke wiped them away and picked me up. " what are you doing?" I said to him. " we are going home Lia " I looked at him in shock. I've never seen him look so mad and focused in my life, it was a little scary with how mad he was. " I don't want you mi-" " I'm missing school and it'll be fine now let's get you home " after he said that I cuddled up to him forgetting the pain the popular girls put me through. I love him so much he is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. We decided to go to his house but if his mom finds out we are dating she is going to throw a fit. Not a bad one though it would be one about how we should've dated sooner and she would go buy things for couples. Honestly I'm scared on how much money she would spend if she finds out. The whole time going to his house he carried me and it was really nice. " you didn't have to carry me " " I know but you deserve it " after he said that he opened the door to his house still not letting me down. We got in and he placed me on the couch. " I'll be right back ok" he said to me with his hand on my cheek. " ok " I said. I turned on the tv and after a while he came back with spaghetti. I smiled at him then we ate and talked about things. After we ate he took me to his room and had stuff for us to do. " you're the sweetest" I told him. He had face masks, nail polish and my favorite movie. My favorite movie is the titanic because I like romance ( in real life I also like the titanic movie lol). " Luke you should put the pink face mask on " " ok " we both helped put a mask on each other then we took some pictures with each other. Then he painted my nails my favorite color which is red.
