It was two days later, Kato and Nimue spent time alone from the group just because he wanted to spend time with her. The other reason was him still upset with J and the sight of him, made Kato want to snap his neck and his body. So, to keep from adding another body to his roster, he decided to keep the distance and peace.
With the temperature at a high 88, light wind, and not a cloud in sight, Nimue stood at the sink working on her hair. Kato wanted everyone to enjoy their last day in Atlanta before they had to leave by morning. He and Stella got called in around 5 in the morning for an emergency meeting that excluded J of course, from there everyone would be out. With her favorite gospel station playing on her phone, Nimue swayed and hummed along to Jekalyn Carr, Bigger. That song got her through some of her toughest moments in college and relationship.
She cried so many nights, prayed so many mornings, and just wanted to end it all, but this song... despite everything, it kept her going even when she didn't want to. Sometimes life, in general, had a very odd way of reminding you that within a blink of an eye, you could really lose everything, including yourself. She lost so much of herself by pouring into all the wrong things that did not deserve her time or energy.
She knew that despite the hurdles, she was regaining happiness and she had Kato to thank for that. She still could not figure out why he came into her life, but she was glad that he did when he did. After losing her parents, all she's ever known was betrayal and heartache, the pain was a distant enemy of hers but love... it seemed to have become a long-lost friend that she thought she had let go of a long time ago.
You're bigger than
the problems I've faced
You're bigger than,
the disasters that I've seen
You're bigger, you're so much bigger Jesus
Than what this life may bring
Oh, Lordy
You're bigger than the universe,
yes you are
You're bigger than the sun
and the stars
You're bigger than the things,
bigger than the things"That can tear me apart..." Nimue sang along softly as she fluffed out her hair.
Checking herself out in the mirror, she smiled proudly at her attire. She sported an ocean blue tube top, white high-waisted jeans, and opened-toed sandals, and to pull things together, she wore an all-black cardigan.
"Lil ma- damn," Kato bit down on his lip looking her over.
Nervous, Nimue stared at him as he admired her. She should have gotten used to compliments but he knew how to make her want to hide in a corner with little effort. Walking towards her, Kato raked his fingers through her hair and inhaled the sweet scent of her pink sugar body oil. The sweet intoxicating scent was enough to have his dick standing at full attention, but he couldn't go that route yet... or could he?
"Mmm," he grunted lowly and she giggled. "Who told you to look and smell this damn good?"
"Stoppp," she laughed, leaning back when he tried to bite her neck.
"Come on before I forget my manners and fuck you," his tone was firm but seductive and she knew without a doubt that he meant business.
Grabbing her things, she followed him through the suite and out into the hall. "How did the meeting go?" She asked once they stepped onto the elevator.
"It was straight," he answered, then smirked catching her messing with his hand.
"Are things settled?"
"Of course," he replied.

It was 1 in the afternoon, and after having breakfast at a local black-owned restaurant the group decided to stop at the music store since Nimue wanted to buy a few pieces of vinyl. Nobody understood why but Kato had a hunch of what the reason may have been, unlike the rest of the guys that were complaining and trying to joke, he just browsed through different categories just like Stella was doing.
