Christmas time had arrived. Even though the holidays didn't particularly thrill you, you loved decorating for Christmas. From the light shows, decorating the tree, to giving gifts, you were all about it. When you met Ghost you knew things would change for you. The amazing man you got to share your life with did not really enjoy any holiday. He didn't enjoy the concept of "Christmas Joy''. You knew he grew up in a way no child should have to, so you were understanding of his distaste for family-centered holidays. At first, you were a little bummed out to not decorate but soon Christmas time became about spending time with your husband. He visited as often as he could, when work permitted it, but was always given two and a half months off during the holidays. His job was rough, so you never knew how you would find him when he got home. Knowing he would be staying at home for a while made up for not decorating. He was never enthusiastic about Christmas, but you always got each other little gifts. You understood that Simon didn't want to decorate or listen to Christmas music. He never had before anyway. Christmas was centered around family which as you knew he didn't like to talk about.

You waited impatiently for him to knock on the door. You were excited to see him as it had been a month since he last visited. You finally heard the knock. He had a key, but he wasn't comfortable just walking into your shared home since he never spent long with you before returning to work. You waited impatiently as he took off his backpack and shoes. Finally getting his boots off, he set them neatly on the shoe rack and stood to look at you. Simon would never ask for hugs, but he always expected them. You took no time to reach up and wrap your arms around him in a firm warm hug. This felt like home. He slowly inhaled then exhaled as he relaxed his body against you, resting his hands on your lower back. He kept his balaclava on always. It really wasn't something you noticed anymore. It was Simon and whatever he needed, you needed. After a long hug, you heard his stomach growl. The house had been filled with the aroma of chicken noodle soup you made from scratch. You giggled when you felt his head pop up. "I guess I'm hungry." He joked. "I made chicken noodle soup. Go change into something more comfortable and then we'll eat." You told him. He nodded, grabbing his bag and going to your shared room. You went to check on the soup. It did smell good. You opened the drawer to get out a ladle and also searched a cabinet to get out two bowls. You could feel your heart flutter at the realization that you were getting out two bowls rather than one. You stirred around a little, trying to get more chicken since it was Ghost's favorite. You began filling the bowls with soup, being more attentive to Simon's. You felt relief settle into your heart being able to take care of him again. He came back out of the bedroom, in his pink plaid pajama pants, a black hoodie, and his balaclava. You can still remember the first day you saw him in those pants.

Ghost walked into the living room after leaving to put his pajamas on for movie night. For him, movie night meant sleeping on you more than watching the movie, but you didn't mind. He sits down in a pair of pink plaid pajama pants. You noticed the bright color immediately. "Simon, you own pink pajama pants?" you asked him incredulously. He looked down at his pants and then back at you. "Yes, they are very comfortable and stretchy." He defended. You couldn't help but giggle at the strong scary man in front of you wearing and loving pink pajama pants. "You have to let me get a picture, please." You begged. He rolled his eyes. "Only if you get my good side." He joked. He stood up and stuck his butt out at you. He began doing various poses. He flexed and popped a hip out. It was the cutest thing you have seen in a while. "Is that good enough?'' he exasperated. You were laughing so hard you had tears in your eyes and your stomach was beginning to ache. "Yes, yes, please sit down." You said trying to speak through your giggles. It was possibly the best reaction ever. The pictures turned out great. "They were a gift from Johnny. I wore them to get back at him because he thought he embarrassed me, and they were the most comfortable thing I'd ever worn." he explained. "You look damn good in them, Riley." You smiled at him.
