TW: mentions of death, minor swearing

————————————

You gulped as you heard the door screech open. Freddy walked in first, you quickly followed behind him. He headed towards the far end of the room, the corner where no light reached and couldn't see anything within that said corner.

"Hey Goldie, you have a visitor" Freddy spoke casually. He stepped to the side and revealed your presence. There, in the corner, you could just make out a golden figure. You focussed your eyes a bit more, and you saw the figure a bit more clearly. She was an exact copy of Freddy, just gold. And her eyes were plain black, with white dots for pupils. She was sat, slouched, on the tiled floor, knees to her chest and arms resting by her sides, palms facing upwards. You watched her eyes dart to your face once Freddy had stepped aside.

When you came in earlier, you must have either completely missed her presence as she was cowering in the darkest corner of the room, or she just wasn't there at all. Or she somehow has superpowers and can turn invisible. Or teleport.

It looked like she was sort of "scanning" you as her eyes darted along your body. Freddy put his hand on your shoulder. "I'll leave you two alone" he stated, you nodded firmly without looking at him, and he exited the room, the door closing with a thud. Goldie's white pupils finally met yours. You felt a little uneasy, but apart from that, you were completely okay. You weren't scared of her, and never will be.

"Hey Goldie" you spoke softly, smiling. Her whole head turned to you. "Y/N" her robotic voice was more high pitched than you thought, seems though it is more of a male costume. "It's really you.." she trailed off. "The one and only" you chuckled.

She stood up, and headed towards you. Once she was stood straight in front of you, you felt a little intimidated by how tall she was, like the others. You craned your neck a little to look up at her. "I've missed you" you broke the silence. "So much" your smile disappeared into a glum look. She stayed silent for a moment. You didn't know if she was gonna answer or not.

You were taken aback a little when she wrapped her golden arms around you and gave you a big bear hug, literally, but you immediately returned the action, wrapping your arms around her torso. You stayed there for a second, savouring the moment. "I've missed you too. So much" she replied.

You both pulled apart after another moment. She stared down at you. "What are you doing in this place?" she questioned you, shaking her head slowly, as if disappointed. You sighed "I didn't wanna come back here, but I was desperate, and there were no other jobs" you answered truthfully. "But then again, i'm glad I signed up, otherwise I would've never seen you guys again" you added, half smiling.

She nodded in agreement at the last part. "That man-" you started, but she cut you off. "-is still around and killed those kids the other night, I know" she sighed. "Yeah.." you trailed off, looking at the ground. "Another reason why you should leave this place. Please don't put yourself in danger, and get outta here" she persisted. "I don't want the same thing happening to you, to what happened to me and the others, and i'm sure they don't want that to happen either" she continued.

"Yeah but, if im not here, more and more innocent kids will die because of that psycho" you looked her dead in the eyes. "But-" she tried to get a word in, but you cut her off this time. "I don't give a shit, Goldie, im not leaving you guys again. I'm not gonna run away and let more kids die, im not gonna let that happen. I'm gonna find this fucking guy, and kill him, even if it means I die trying. As long as he's gone, then i'll be at rest, and i'm sure you guys will be too" you snapped.

She blinked at you a few times, a little shocked. You stared back at her, heart beating faster from anticipation. She breathed out of her nostrils and looked down, thinking. You waited patiently for her response, the suspense killing you. You needed her approval at least.

"Fine, if you insist putting yourself in danger, i'm not going to stop you. Plus I always knew you were never going to take no as an answer" she replied. You beamed up at her, feeling pleased with yourself. "As long as we take him down together" she commanded. Your smile faltered a little, but you fixed your posture and nodded.

She turned around, heading towards the wall. She slid down the wall and sat down, her knees up to her chest again. You went to the wall exactly opposite to her, and sat down, now facing each other, mirroring her sitting position.

"After the incident, and I got life in this..thing, I couldn't help but feel so sorry for you. That must have been traumatising to witness" she spoke up.

"Yeah..yeah it was" your expression was glum again. "Even after years of therapy, I couldn't help but feel guilt. Survivors guilt is the worst" you shook your head slowly. "I can never forgive myself for doing nothing"

"It wasn't your fault" she immediately jumped in. "None of it was, okay? And you didn't do 'nothing', you freed yourself and got help, plus there wasn't much you could even do. You were frozen, not knowing what to do, and in shock. You were a child, nobody deserves to go through that at such a young age. It's not your fault" she firmly spoke.

You bit the inside of your cheek, looking up but just not in her eyes. You nodded "Thank you" you looked to meet her eyes at last. "It's just the truth" she added.

After that, you guys started talking more, having deep conversations one minute then having a laugh the next. You were comfortable with each other again. You were always the closest with Cassidy, when she was alive, and nothing had changed by the way you were speaking now.

Your conversation had come to an end when the clock struck 6am. "Wow, we were speaking a looonggg time" you chuckled, checking your watch. "We sure were" she stood up smiling. She held out a hand which you took, pulling you to your feet too.

You strolled to the door, only realising you didn't hear footsteps behind you. You turned around, to see her heading towards the dark corner. "Are you staying in here?" you questioned, a little upset. She turned to you before she sat down, thinking for a second. "Yeah. Only for today though, if you really want" she smiled a little. You copied her features. "Alright then, i'll see you tonight, or later, if I stop by to say hi on my day shift" you stated. She slid down the wall and sat down. "Sounds good. I'll..see you later" she replied, glad that she was able to say that again.

You exited the room, closing the metal door behind you. You stopped by the office and collected your things, then plodded down the hallway. The animatronics came into your vision, the three main stars were already on the stage, and Foxy was just heading towards his cove. "I'll see you guys laterrr" you called out, unlocking the door. You heard them call out a goodbye, so you left the building and shut the door behind you, heading to your car.
