"BACKSTORY"

July 12th 1932

Dear diary,

today Maria was late again! I mean she's always late but not for any meal she's always on time for that! I always wonder what life would be like if my parent's kept me but then I hope they wanted what's best for me.

Okay enough with what happened a few days ago and today, let me introduce myself

To whoever is reading this.

Hi! I'm y/n I'm not really sure of my last name so let's keep that bit out! I am 13 years old
I live in Austria I was taken in by Maria my carer ever since I was a few months old,
I don't really know why my parents left me but I hope they wanted what's best for me.

My hobbies are : reading, writing poetry, music, art

My dream when I'm older is to become a singer or author!

So today Maria told me she has a gift for me, which surprised me since I only get gifts on birthdays or special occasions but there wasn't any occasion today nor was it my birthday but it turns out Maria had bought me a diary which confused me a bit and had me puzzled for a bit till I realized she wanted me to write in it every day a talk about my day since she knows I have trouble talking to other people and she said it would help clear my mind when I need it.

I'm happy about this gift since I get to write down my thoughts.
