I Hate You ~ Louis Tomlinson ** Under Edits

INTRODUCTIONS

Today is moving day. Crazy as it is, Natalie Adamite is moving in with One Direction to work as part of their social media team. She's aware this situation is more than unusual, but until the Take Me Home tour the boys are all living together so they can rehearse and record as much as they need. 

Natalie wouldn't have been able to commute and it didn't make sense to pay for a whole other house or apartment for her to stay in, so here she is.

Her boss Linda is a kind woman in her mid 40s who could be best described as looking her part. Her hair is neatly pulled into a bun and she wears a suit with heels that click when she walks. Natalie suddenly feels insecure with her casual leggings and sweater.

She doesn't have much time to think about that though as Linda brings her to a large house with tall fences and trees giving it a good amount of privacy. They walk through the gate onto the small driveway to the two-story light green house. It's really beautiful with lots of plants and big white windows.

"We did end up renting a house for you all, it made the most sense as you guys will be here for a few months. You'll be spending a lot of time with the boys, but this isn't a 24/7 job. You have scheduled work times but other than that it is up to you what you'd like to do with your time. I know the boys are anxious to get to know you better, but you certainly don't have to spend your time out of work with them if you don't want to. I also do want to say we don't expect there to be any issues, but if there are please feel free to contact me directly," Linda says.

She opens the door and leads Natalie in to find all the boys standing in the kitchen talking and looking at their phones.

Natalie freezes a bit, she's about to meet the biggest band in the world. She isn't a super fan by any means, but she knows a good majority of their songs. She's nervous especially since she has tendency to be shy around people she doesn't know. Thankfully Linda begins the introductions so she doesn't have too much time to overthink.

"Ah, here they are. This is Liam," Linda begins, gesturing to him. Natalie of course knows who all the guys are, but she stays quiet.

"Pleasure to meet you," Liam says.

"Zayn," she says, pointing at him. He gives a small wave and a warm smile.

"Niall," she says, gesturing to the blonde.

"Hi, I'm a hugger," Niall says coming to give Natalie a big hug, almost knocking her over and causing her to giggle.

Harry steps forward and puts a hand on Niall's shoulder to gently pull him back.

"Niall, you have to check and see if it's okay before you go and attack someone like that," Harry says fondly.

"That's okay, I'm a hugger too," she says smiling.

"Oh well in that case, may I?" Harry asks.

She nods and he gives her a sweet hug and whispers in her ear, "You have a very cute laugh. Oh and I'm Harry."

"And lastly that's Louis who is on his phone and being rude, nice Louis," Linda says.

"Oh yeah hey. Footballs on see you later," he says and turns to leave.

Linda rolls her eyes and says, "Right okay, let me give you the tour and I'll show you to your room."

Niall steps up and throws his arm around Natalie's shoulder. "That's alright Linda, I've got this," he says.

Linda and Harry follow them and go on Niall's very interesting tour. It takes about 20 minutes due to the commentary and a lot of laughs. It has a lot of side notes, like Niall's favorite spots to sit in various rooms, which coffee mugs are the nicest in his opinion, and the spot where he hit his head a few days ago and left a dent.

The house was unassuming from the outside, but inside it's huge. There are 8 bedrooms like Linda said, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a living room, and a huge basement with a couple of couches and a TV that basically covers half the wall.

She's a bit overwhelmed with everything being new and unfamiliar but she's happy to be able to settle in. She has been a bit nervous about this, but everyone seems to be great so far except for maybe Louis, but she's trying to reserve judgments until she knows them better.

After the tour, Linda shows Natalie to her room and gives her some more details about the job.

"Now as you know, none of the guys are particularly good with staying up to date on their socials nor have any of them really taken an interest in utilizing the band's page so that's where you come in. We want their posts and pictures to be as authentic as possible and we would like them to write their own captions. That shouldn't be all too hard, they are great writers," she says. 

"Very true," Natalie replies with a smile.

"As I stated before, but would like to further stress, we want these posts to come off as authentic while still being somewhat promotional. We would also like you to document their preparation for the tour," she says. 

Natalie nods so Linda will know she's paying attention, but mostly keeps quiet. They've already gone over this in depth, but this is her only orientation so she doesn't argue. 

"Should this go well, we may offer you a position to tour with the team and you'll have the opportunity to travel with them, but that we will discuss at a later date. So if you don't have any questions for now, that will be all," Linda says. 

"Nope, no questions," Natalie replies. 

Linda is very kind, but she can be very talkative which is usually great, but Natalie is anxious to unpack.

"Alright well if any do arise, let me know. We're really happy to have you here as part of our team," she says. 

"Thank you so much for this opportunity Linda, I really appreciate it," Natalie says.

Linda smiles warmly and says, "Of course. I'll leave you to unpack and we'll reconvene on Monday."

About an hour or so after Linda leaves, Natalie hears a knock at the door. She pauses her music and opens the door to find Harry.

"Hey, how's the unpacking going?" He asks.

She shrugs and replies, "Not too bad, did about 3 of the 6 boxes so all in all pretty good."

He loiters  awkwardly in the hallway and says, "Yeah, looks like you made some good progress. I don't mean to interrupt you or anything, but I'm here if you want help with something or need someone to talk to."

"Thank you Harry. I'm done with the desk actually if you'd like to keep me company. I would offer you the bed, but it's kind of a mess," she says chuckling and looking at her bed that's covered in her things. 

He sits down and they get to know each other a bit. They talk about their families, their home, and things they do in their free time.

About half an hour later Niall joins them and the three of them cannot stop laughing. She soon realizes she's going to be okay here. If nothing else, she'll have Harry and Niall to keep her company and she's very grateful for that.

When she is about 90% done unpacking, Niall's stomach grumbles despite the fact that he's eaten numerous snacks since coming into her room. They decide to order some take out and watch a movie. Zayn, Liam, and Louis ate already, but Liam joins them for the movie.

She's happy she has another day before she actually starts working that way she can settle in more. The boys ask her a bit about her job and what being a social media marketer actually means. She explains to them that the more they post, the more likely they are to reach new followers and it helps to keep their current followers more engaged. She gets Harry to post a story of the movie which he tags Liam and Niall in and she suggests they add it to their story too.

She only hopes it'll continue to be this easy for her to get her job done. She's really looking forward to starting this new chapter in her life.
