Mirrored [ Reflection ]

Shadow

" Hani are you sure, he went that way?" The boy asked while pointing his finger towards the gate of the wrecked manor. The manor looks like a haunted house, it was dull and gloomy. It kinda send shivers down Asher.

" I'm sure Shadow went there..i think" Hani replied though having a doubting feeling. She literally just saw her black cat [ Shadow ] running  inside the manor, through the gates.

She has been chasing her cat for a while now. Shadow is her black cat and she needs get him to the animal clinic. Doing the regular check-up but it seems to be harder than she thought.

" C'mon let's go inside" Hani started to walk forward.

" What, you're seriously going inside?" Question Asher surprised, with a frown on his face. He folded his hands while looking skeptical at the girl.

" Yes of course, I'm worried about Shadow after all" Hani replied back and started walking near the gates. It wasn't locked so she tried to open it.  The gates had begun to decay. It was probably due to not been taken care off, and maybe no one has ever open the gates before.

So when Hani tried to open the gate, it fell off. It cause a loud crash sound, luckily only one fell off.

" Oops..." Hani sweat drop seeing the fallen broken gate on the ground.

" Haih...how did i get myself into this situation?" Asher mumbled to himself while pinching his forehead. Remembering why he helped the girl finding her cat.

" Let's just find your cat before it gets too dark..." Asher said, noticing it was already 4pm at that time they've been chasing Shadow for a while now. They walked pass the gate while looking at his watch in his left hand. Hani just following from behind.

" You know your uncle gonna be back soon right?" Asher raised an eyebrow at Hani. While looking around the yard as they walk by. Expecting an answer from that girl.

" Yeah I know... but let's just quickly find Shadow" Hani said awkwardly. Her uncle was known as a frightening person to others and cold-blooded man. Of course since he was a General, he was feared by many.

Well except for her, Hani was sure her uncle would never get mad a her, no matter how naughty is she.

But in this case, Shadow was her uncle favorite cat, despite he denying it. There was that time when the first time Hani brought back Shadow to the house, her uncle despise it. But several weeks later she found out that her uncle has bought the most expensive cat food just for Shadow! well not only that he bought a cathouse, litterbox and many cat toys for Shadow too.

There was that one time where he fell asleep on the couch with Shadow sleeping on his arm. It was quite adorable so Hani took a picture.

So imagine when he found out that his favourite cat has gone missing, he would probably act like he didn't care and pays no mind to it. Okay that's the first theory. But Hani was sure her uncle would be mad and furious at her.

" Is it locked?" Hani asked Asher when she saw the front door has several chain's wrapped around the door. There was also a new padlock there.  Is there still someone taking care of the house?

" I guess it is..." Asher said slowly. Observing the door and the padlock. Thinking if he can actually open it without breaking it.

" Let's just find another way in." Asher sigh. He doesn't want to risk it, if it's broken then they can't go inside. What if the owner of this house, (he doesn't know if there's still one) found out and want to sue him?

The broken gate doesn't count, it wasn't his fault anyway. Besides the gate is way too old that's it began to decay. So let's just let them think the gate just fall on accident.

" Hmm..." Hani then look around the house searching for another entrance. They didn't want to cause any trouble, and they don't want to leave any trace's while being inside the manor.

" Oh over there!"
