CHAPTER 1

The First Met

"Good job, Bella! You really are the best!" My manager praises as i walked out of the dressing room after the shoot. Dala-dala lang nito ang mga gamit ko habang dala ko rin ang iba kong gamit.

She was smiling ear to ear proudly.

"Thank you, Ate Mica." I said, smiling back at her. "I can't do this without your support." I added.

She shrugged. "Kahit na, you're the one who put up such results not me."

Ayaw niya talagang makipagtalo sa akin. She always has the reason to spoul me with compliments. Minsan hindi ko na talaga alam at baka nalaki na ang ulo ko. She praised me a lot humbled me too sometimes.

"By the way, Ate. Do i have a schedule for tomorrow? I really want to rest muna, eh." Sabi ko.

Tiningnan niya ako nang nakasimangot. "Kakaiba ka ata ngayon? It's your first time asking for rest? May masama ba sa'yo?" Concern was etched on her voice as she scanned me with her eyes.

I shook my head. "Hindi naman." Sagot ko at binaba sa trunk ang gamit after niyang mabuksan ang trunk. "I just want to do the volunteer work my brother tells me. It's my way of resting narin but at least i got to help someone."

I heard her sighed softly.

"Akala ko kung napaano ka na." She mumbled and opened the door of the van. I went in and she went to the driver's seat.

"Sige, i will have it reschedule. Maiintindihan rin naman nila." She said reassuringly.

I smiled.

"Thank you, Ate! You're the best."

Dumiretso muna kami sa isang restaurant para mag-order ng food for take-out. Sa bahay ko na lang kakainin since nandun si Kuya Elias, so i could share my food with him.

Habang nakapila ako for the payment of my order. I heard someone's unclear voice most likely recognized me.

"She's Maribella, right? She looks surreal."

"Oo nga, she looks stunning while looking so simple. Pa-pic tayo."

I looked behind me and saw a two girls walking towards me. They even run the distance, grinning.

"Can we take a pic with you, po?" The one girl asked, politely.

I nodded and smiled. "Of course."

She clapped and took out her phone and grabbed the other woman with her on my side and we took a pic. "Last na po, autograph!" Her friend said, nag puppy eyes pa ito sa akin that makes me laughed.

"Palagay na rin po ng Sanya!" She said and handed me a postcard with my pic on it.

I nodded and signed the postcard and put her name on it with a smiling face and heart. Her friend got jealous and got herself a postcard too and made me sign. After that, hindi ko na tuloy namalayan na ako na pala ang kasunod na magbabayad.

I paid for my order at nang makuha ko na ay nagpaalam na ako sa kanilang dalawa bago ako tuluyang umalis ng restaurant.

Nang makaalis na akong ng restaurant ay tumungo na ako sa van. Ate Mica casually smiled at me as i entered the van. "Mukhang gutom na ang disney princess, ah? Something came up there?"

I nodded. "Actually, i have a fan of mine there. They asked for my autograph and selfie kaya natagalan na rin ako."

I put the paper bag on the empty side of the chair and leaned my back on the backrest. "Let's go na ate, Kuya Elias must be hungry now." I said and took my phone as i message my brother.
