Please don't sue me for this story. It's the result of approximatively 3 hours of co-op with Scara, Xiao and Heizou. Nothing serious at all.

Forgive my english too, not my first language :>>

Xiao stood up, facing the city of Mondstadt ahead: it was raining in Springvale, and next to him was standing Scaramouche; Heizou, as well, was here, finishing the last dango he had taken with him on his trip.
But the Yaksha, looking at the Cider lake, did not even noticed they were there. Actually, he'd came here for something very special.
Today, he wanted to die.
Because of too much things.
His karmic debt had already started years ago, but these last months, it felt as if the weight he had to carry was too much.
Way too much.
He didn't talk to his boyfriends about this; it would have probably just annoyed them.

Closing his eyes, he just heard "Xiao no!" from behind as he fell, inexorably, glancing one last time at Heizou and Scaramouche. Right before his head hit the ground, he saw them both jumping off the cliff, and then, dark.
No more rain on his face.
No more screaming.
No more karmic debt.

That's what he thought.

A split-second later, he woke up, his feet on the lake: he had just used his second life.
Teyvat's rules were made so that some random people out of everyone else could have more than one life: Xiao was born with sixteen lives, more of the half were already gone because of his multiple suicide attempts before Rex Lapis had found him. Before his name changed to Xiao. He'd wish he just had one.
He knew that Heizou had five, and Scaramouche something like ten; they both told him when they met for the first time, and they probably used one because of him.

It's always my fault. He whispered to himself, realising he made his beloved ones suffer once more.

"Xiao! What has gotten into you?!" Said Scaramouche, his arms wrapped around the Yaksha's body. "You...you could have died..."
"I'm sorry, I..."

How should I explain that I don't feel like living is worth it anymore?

"Wait, where's Heizou?"

Heizou did not die from his injuries; fortunately, he had survived to the fall, even if his head was heavily bleeding and his right arm was broken.
Walking towards the Cider Lake, he sighed, and plunged in the water.

If jumping is not enough...then drowning will do the job.

"Wait, Heizou!" Screamed Scaramouche from the land, swimming to reach him.
"Don't you dare drowning!" Yelled Xiao, following the kabukimono.

But soon the Inazumian had already disappeared in the shimmering water.
Without a word, the two left had already let the death take them away once more, along with their beloved.

"Nobody dies anymore, understood?" Heizou said, his hands on Xiao and Scara's shoulders. "Let's have a walk. And forget about this...Xiao, if something ever cross your mind like this again... please tell us. I'd like to know whether you're doing good or not."
"O...Okay..."

And so they walked, chatting and laughing to one's jokes. They were a few minutes away from Windrise when the Yaksha suddenly turned around and said:
"Did you know that at Ayato's place, the bed is so big that we could fit all three in it?"
"You went to Ayato's?" Scara immediately replied, frowning almost like a kitten.
"Yeah, hum...the Yashiro Commission is one of the three in Inazuma. We visited it with Morax when the Shogun invited him in Narukami."
"Really? Was his bed a part of the visit?!"
"I..."
"Xiao...don't tell me you..."
"I'm sorry...he...he was hot as hell and...it just...happened."
"Just happened? Are you kidding me?!" Interrupted Heizou, a severe expression on his face.
"Let me explain! He forced me! O-Okay, he might be really pretty and all but I would never cheat on you two! I promise!"
"That's enough. How could you do this to me? To us? Come on, let's leave." Scara said, dashing ahead, holding his lover's hand.
"W-Wait!"
"Never again!" Yelled a voice from afar.

It's always me!

Xiao ran to them as fast as possible, but they kept on leaving as soon as the Yaksha would reach them; as he was running, he begged for forgiveness, screamed his deepest apologies from the bottom of his heart. But they would not listen.

Realising soon that it was pointless, that what he did was completely unacceptable, he fell on his knees: he ruined his whole life, their lives, in a second, and he was the only one to blame.
Why did he make out with Ayato that night?! He'd said he'd never leave him but...as soon as the morning lighted up the sky, he disappeared and pretended he did not even know him.
It had pained the Yaksha's heart; he'd thought he'd fall in love once again, but it was only an illusion.

"I see. I was stupid."

He had to disappear.
He had to so his beloved ones could live along without the thought of him.
And Qingyun peak was perfect for that.
He used to sing for his dead friends every night; nobody will ever cry for his death, but at least, he won't be there anymore.
He won't have to suffer.
And they won't have to suffer either.

If he keeps dying repeatedly, somehow, he won't have anymore lives, right? Or even if he lives again, Scaramouche or Heizou won't know about it! They did not know how many Xiao had left, so he just had to fake it!

At least, it will be over...

"We should check on Xiao..." said Heizou. "Maybe we've been to harsh on him. The map says he's at Qingyun peak...what is he doing there?"
"Oh, fuck. I think he is..."
"You mean...?"
"Let's go. Now."

"Xiaoooo! Where are you? We're-"

At the very moment they arrived, they saw someone falling from the cliff; the pearl left behind him made no doubt, it was Xiao. Next to it was a letter. And even before Scaramouche had picked it up, he saw Heizou jumping as well, disappearing in the mist.

"No...not again! You two..."
The kabukimono held his head into his hands, his knees hitting the ground.
"I'm sorry for what I've told you, Xiao...I love you. Forever."
