Kim Seokjin's Pov

'Never thought I'll be back here.'

Jin thought as he drove past those luscious green forests, the road clearing ahead to reveal huge lustrous golden gates which didn't lose their shine even after several decades and creaked open on his arrival.

Behind the gates lay the paradise of the Kim family.

The mansion was about a century old, serving as a haven for all the members of the family in need for a vacation.

The whole mansion was decorated beautifully giving a loud clear hint of the occasion.

The marriage announcement of his cousin had been a no shocker for she had been in love with that boy since her final year of highschool.

He wished someday he too will find someone who'll stay by him his entire life….a love only a few were lucky enough to get and give.

"Jinnie! How are you, dear? Had a comfortable journey? Your cousin would be so happy that you made it!" He smiled as his mother walked up to his car's lowered window pane.

"I'm fine mom, what about you? The journey was fine..had a bit of work so I got delayed."

"Oh that's fine Jinnie, but I hope you didn't bring your work here, your halmeoni is pretty adamant about the 'no work policy' this time." His mother ruffled his hair, making him yelp and push her hand away.

"I styled them mom!"

Mrs. Kim laughed at her son's antics and pulled his cheek.

A car honked behind them, ruining the vibe as the driver shouted something incoherently.

"I better go and park, did uncle save me a spot?" Jin asked, revving the engines while rubbing his cheek.

"Yeah, Heechul saved you a spot just round the corner. Don't forget to thank him later!"

"I will!" He replied as he took off driving round the corner searching for the spot with a plough card bearing his name.

"What the hell?" He mumbled. He found the spot he was looking for but he also found another car already parked there with his owner getting off the car unabashedly.

"Excuse me, this spot is mine. I'm Kim Seokjin….the plough car reads it loud and clear."

"Yeah, I know." The owner, who was around his age, spoke with a heavy satoori accent. "But the space they'd allotted me was small for my car, so I parked here…your car will fit there though, my spot is just a few cars away." He pointed to a space somewhere at the end of the road.

Is this man flaunting his bigger car to me? I guess no one told him that expensive cars are smaller!!

"Yeah but that's no proper manner! This spot was reserved for me by my uncle!"

"Look man, why don't you just use that spot before someone else takes it?"

"Well-" Jin stopped as the car behind him zoomed past him and parked on the spot the owner had pointed out to him.

"That motherfucker." He cursed and turned to look back at that owner, who shrugged.

"Leave my spot." Jin demanded. He knew he was being irrational and childish but fuck it.

The man scoffed, "Why should I? You let that perfectly fine spot go…! Could've just parked there instead of trying to pick up a fight with me." He collected his stuff and locked his car, "Good luck finding another spot." And with that the man walked away.

"Fuck me!" He got back into his car and started driving around the square, in hopes of finding a good spot.

An hour later, Jin was the grumpiest man in the whole wedding. Firstly he lost his parking spot to a complete stranger, who then hinted on him being slow and it took him 60 FUCKING minutes to find a good parking spot.

He marched towards the wine cellar, needing to let off some stress before he was intercepted by the main source of his anger.

That same man with wavy hair falling over his dark feline eyes.

"Hey man, did it really take you an hour to find another parking spot?"

"Yeah, there weren't many options left after you occupied my parking spot." Jin bit out, making the other flinch at the accusatory tone.

"But I did offer you my spot- but you know what? Let's keep that behind us and start fresh shall we? I'm Kim Taehyung. What's your name?" Taehyung said, extending his hand.

"I don't care. And I'm not going to shake that either." Jin said, pushing his hand in his pockets.

"That's a really interesting name." Taehyung said with a teasing smile as he retreated his hand, "Come on, do you really need to be so petty for something so trivial?"

Jin was saved from answering as his mother approached him. "Jinnie, your halmeoni is here...won't you go meet her?"

"Oh of course mom, I'll go meet her right away." Jin replied, eager to get away from the other man.

"Greetings ajhumma. I'll see you later…. Jinnie." Taehyung said, smirking at the way Jin's ears turned crimson at the nickname.

-

Jin's halmeoni was still just as sweet and loving as the last time he saw her.

"Grandma, I missed you so much!" Jin exclaimed as he hugged the wheelchaired lady who beamed with happiness on seeing her youngest grandson.

"Aigoo, Jin-ah, how are you my dear? You've lost so much weight...aren't you eating well?" His grandma asked, making him chuckle.

"I'm eating just fine, grandma. Honestly it's just you who thinks I lost weight." He said with a slight pout.

"Enough about me, are you well? Taking your meds on time?" Jin asked, holding her smaller wrinkled hands in his.

"That Seokjungie always remembers to." She muttered feigning annoyance.

"It's about time you appreciate my efforts grandma." Seokjung appeared from the room next door, his newborn cradled in his arms.

"Hyung!" Jin rushed and engulfed his brother in a hug, missing the infant. "Is this my baby Butter? He just becomes cuter everytime I see him!" Jin gushed as he poked his nephew's chubby cheek lovingly, making the baby mewl.

"Of course he is cuter Jin-ah….Have you ever met his uncle?" Ah-reum, his sister-in-law joined the conversation next.

"Noona, you know right, that you're my most favourite relative?"

"I heard that you came via car? 17 hours of drive...have you completely lost it?" Seokjung asked, adjusting Butter in his arms.

Jin shrugged, "Was feeling kinda adventurous."

"Well why don't you go and take some rest? Lunch isn't for another 3 hours...your room is the one opposite to ours." Ah-reum suggested.

"Yeah I'll do that, my back is killing me." And with that he walked out the room but not before leaving a kiss on his grandma's head and poking Butter's cheek once again.

Jin set an alarm for three hours as he walked in his room, not even bothering to change his outfit as he plopped down on his bed and let sleep engulf him.
