ᥫ᭡ short summary : cassius vandeleur wasn't a people's person. he tried his absolute best to not engage with the other students, unless it was obligated. that included xavier thorpe. xavier thorpe used to be a close friend of cassius when they were younger. something had changed when they started at nevermore academy, cassius had claimed it was because the two had gone into different paths for themselves. although, xavier could tell when the boy was lying, he avoided eye contact and cassius had a nervous habit where he would pick at his nail polish, xavier knew cassius wasn't giving him the 100% truth but he never spoke about it. figured cassius would tell him on his own time. a year had passed, wednesday adams was now attending nevermore academy and she seemed oddly close with cassius... xavier didn't know why, but he always felt a little annoyed when he saw wednesday dragging cassius off on another wild adventure. why did cassius stop spending time with him ? why did wednesday need cassius for every little inconvenience ? why did xavier care so much ? xavier needed to get answers and he wasn't 100% sure he was ready to get the information he oh-so-begged for.
