It was a calm day in the town until they heard the news about the recent death of the ghost Pokémon sanctuary caretaker. He had recently died of a horrible illness, but left the ghost Pokémon in good hands with new people. But, the new caretakers never arrived, and the ghost Pokémon were growing hungrier and angrier. Soon, the town was going to be in a lot of danger.

" JULIAN JULIAN!! WAKE UP!!! ". Julian slowly opened his eyes. " Good morning to you too, Ollie..." he said, rubbing his eyes. Julian looked at his younger brother, then got up out of bed. Julian changed into something better like his regular trainer outfit, because he was a young Pokémon trainer, hoping to become one of the best just like any other kid. He threw on his favorite drifloon beanie, then headed downstairs. " Can we walk around near the forest?? " Ollie asked Julian, putting on his coat. "Sure. " Julian replied. Ollie was Julian's little brother, a very hyper child who loved Pokémon. Ollie loved electric types and hoped to own one once he got older. Julian on the other hand, he was more fond of ghost Pokémon, this caused a lot of name calling at his old school, but he really didn't care.

Once the two made it to the town, there was a newspaper on the ground. Julian hesitantly picked it up, a bit interested about what was going on. The papers crinkled in his hands as he gently unfolded the paper. Ghost Pokémon sanctuary caretaker found dead... Jeez. That's not the kind of news Julian wanted to be hit with in the morning. He just hoped it'd be a nice day with his younger brother. They walked around in the forest, the sound of birds happily singing as the leaves crunched underneath them.

They saw the sanctuary, it's glass enclosure was cracked and broken. Julian shivered at the thought of ghost Pokémon running out. As they ventured deeper, the darker the sky went. It was getting late, and soon they found out they'd been there all day.. " Come on, Ollie, time to go home. " Julian said, tugging lightly on his brother's sleeve, bending down to his height. " Okay.. " Ollie frowned. Julian stood up and took a hold of Ollie's hand. They walked through the brambles of the thick forest, and eventually reached home. Once they got home, Julian tossed his beanie to the side of his bed. Ollie had already gone to sleep. Julian changed into his pjs and hopped into bed, he was exhausted after the day and was happy to finally be back in his bed.

A few weeks past. Julian was in the living room, watching the local news. Children had been constantly going missing due to unknown reasons. This made Julian paranoid, so he decided to talk with Ollie. He walked up to his bedroom. " Ollie, we can't go out to the forest this week, okay? " He said to Ollie. "Why not, Julian..?? " He asked. "Because, there's something going on, and we can't be there right now, it's very dangerous. " Julian explained. Ollie's 6 year old mind couldn't grasp what was wrong, and was naturally confused. " Okay then." Ollie agreed, not exactly sure what he was actually agreeing to. "Alright.. " Julian said, patting Ollie's messy hair, then went to his own bedroom.

A few nights after, something wasn't right. Julian got up and went to check on Ollie. He had already helped him get to bed, but he was confused why his gut was telling him there was something wrong with Ollie. Julian rushed to his bedroom and opened the door, Ollie had been burying himself in his blankets, but he wasn't moving, or breathing, this startled Julian and he ripped the covers off of him. It was actually a pile of pillows and blankets Ollie set up to trick Julian. Julian was scared and threw himself together as fast as he could, and ran to the only place he knew his brother would go.

 To the forest.

Julian ran to the forest, but nothing could be found. He then turned around, the town was far behind him but he could easily run back. Julian decided against it, he would not go back home till he found his brother. He ran to the littlest sounds, in hopes to find his brother. He looked around, but saw a drifloon, and holding onto it's strings was a small boy. Julian looked closer, and recognized the boy. It was Ollie. " OLLIE!!! OLLIE COME BACK!! " He screamed. Ollie did not turn around. " OLLIE PLEASE!! " Julian started running, then begun to sprint. But it was late at night, and he could barley see a thing. It was chilly, and the clouds above him seemed to crowd up and darken, as if it were going to rain soon. Julian was out of breath, small sprinkles of rain water hitting him as he ran for his brother. But then.. He lost him. He looked around, called his name, did everything he could, he tried running in the direction he had seen them go, but to no avail. I should've brought my Pokémon.., Julian thought to himself. The rain began to pick up as he went. But nothing was working.

Hours later, it felt like an eternity. Julian finally found a group of drifloons and other ghost Pokémon crowded around something. He screamed " HEY!! MOVE! " to them. He ran over. They were eating something. Then.. Julian saw it. They were feasting on something small, very bloody and red. Julian paused. He stood very very still, and stared at what they were eating. Bloody, dirty, and a mess, there lay his brother in the mud as the ghost Pokémon feasted happily. Julian was angry, but was horrified. He ran for the hills, up to the mountains, terrified they'd find him, soon, the rain turned to snow the higher up he went up the mountain. It was freezing, the cold was like needles, piercing through him as he ran, his legs feeling numb. Julian reached the semi- top of the mountain. it was covered in snow. He walked up, pushing through every ounce of pain from the cold. He looked up. and saw red snow, then saw a boy laying down in the snow. Julian took a closer look, he was missing an arm, a leg, and an eye, he was surrounded by dead Pokémon. Julian called out for the boy. " OH MY GOD! STAY THERE! LET ME HELP YOU! " Julian called out. " T-Thank.. you.." The boy said, shivering. Julian carried him down the mountain and to his house.

[ The end. ]

Author's note :

I told you it was short. If the ending was confusing, my OC, Julian, basically meets Blake at mount silver as he's climbing up, and saves him. I Might write a sequel about what happens after Julian saves Blake, but only if yall want it. That's all for now, thanks for reading!
