Trust Again

"Hey! Wait up" a panted voice yelled "What do you want from me human?" The puppet said in a groaning voice, "well- you seemed a little lost?" Kunikuzishi turned around to meet her gaze "Ah no I'm just wandering around..." said in a low tone and turned back to continue to walk away "Eh? Wandering around, don't you have a home?"

"No... And please stop talking to me it's a waste of your time" the puppet said in a cold voice, you grab his arm, preventing him to go anywhere "What now?" Kunikuzishi turns his head to her gaze again with a pissed face and slightly wiggles his arm to release it from your grasp. "There's something wrong, I can see it from your face did you perhaps lose your famil-" your words were cut of "No..." "I see- I'm sorry for mentioning it""No it's not like that it's personal, they just failed my promise" "They?" That word... What does he mean by "They" ? Does it mean his entire family failed to fulfill his promise?.

"If someone is talking to you would you kindly answer them back and not to ignore it"

Oh... You were in deep thoughts.

"Oh I'm sorry, uh, may I know your name at least?"

"Kunikuzishi..." Scaramouche said in a low tone. "I'm Y/n" you smiled.

Tick tick tick

"Ah it's about to rain, hurry let's go back to my home" you grab his hands and you two run as fast as you can to seek shelter. Kuni puts his large hat to your head.

'Blushed...'

You two both arrived at home and Kuni started too-

"Achoo!"

"Ah Kunikuzishi, you're all soaked, let me get you some spare clothes" you hurriedly go to your closet to find spare clothes for Kuni. Meanwhile Kuni sat down on the floor, thinking about you helping him. Kuni chuckles.

"I bet she's going to betray me" He mumbled those words with agony and pain.

4th betrayal...

"I'm back! Here's the spare clothes and also a towel to dry off your body"

Kuni grabs it from your hands. "T-thank you where's the bathroom?"

"Oh I don't have a bathroom- the woods is my restroom, but you can use my bedroom to change your clothes" you signal him that your room is right there, he nodded and went to your bedroom.

Kunikuzishi Pov:

As I entered her room and closed the door, words started to come across into my head 'really a fourth betrayal? C'mon Kunikuzishi wake up' 'I wonder how she will betray me?' 'She's just helping you and will soon kick you out' deep thoughts came across my head...

I sigh but I feel rather strange? Something is tingling inside me. I was born without a heart and I will never have a heart. I've suffered too much.

End of Kunikuzishi Pov.

A tear left at Kunikuzishi's left eye.

"Kunikuzishi? Are you ok?" You said in a worried tone, "I'm fine" Kunikuzishi lied of course he doesn't want you to see him cry. He feels kinda stupid crying in front of a stranger that he just met like 1 hour ago.

"You can't lie to me Kunikuzishi, Once I saw your face, your aura, sadness and fear. Kunikuzishi, I'm here, to listen" You said in a sweet tone.

You waited patiently for Kuni to open the door.

Kuni decided to open the door and then slowly walked towards you, resting his chin on your shoulders, still on his wet clothes, he started to burst into tears on your shoulders, you hugged him and patted his head.

"I wanted to be loved and cared for" he mumbles into your shoulders, which you can hear.

He hugs you back tightly, releasing his stress by crying into your shoulders. You place your hands into his cheeks, slightly moving his head up to meet your gaze.

"Hey, it's ok I'm here now" you said, you release his cheeks and your hand goes back into hugging him. Kunikuzishi's head rested on your chest and continued to release his tears.

...

Time had passed and Kunikuzishi stopped crying.

"I've guessed it's all gone by now?" Kuni only replied with a nod signaling to you that he released all of his emotions. You smiled happily.

"Hey Kunikuzishi-" your words we're cut off "Just call me Kuni no need to call me Kunikuzishi " He said "Kuni your still wearing your wet clothes" Kuni looked at his outfit and realize that his still in on his wet clothes, 'how embarrassing-' he said on his head.

"Do you need me to-" your words were cut off again by Kuni "Ah no need" he turns away, a hint of redness shown on the puppets cheeks. "Ah sorry about that" you apologize, Kuni proceeds to your bedroom to change his clothes.

"And Kuni if you're feeling tired you can sleep on my bed" he paused for a minute, another hint of blush crept into his cheeks. 'Wait me and her going to share beds!?'

"Ah don't worry about me I will sleep on the floor" Kuni sights of relief but at the same time embarrassed. "Ok Y/n" he started to walk again towards your bedroom.

Meanwhile, you were preparing snacks for the both of you. You have no idea what his type of food is, you take a hint and decide to make your favorite snacks which are Onigiri and Dango. You also made herbal tea to wash the snacks down smoothly.

After a few minutes, Kuni came out of your bedroom wearing your Kimono dress that you handed him. He checks his newly worn clothes raising his right and left arms, he spins around and looks at you, smiling at you for treating him well.

"You look amazing Kuni" you said

"Ah, thanks? I guess?"

"Come, let's eat" You handed him a piece of Dango, two pieces of Onigiri and a cup of herbal tea. He extended his arm to grab the food. He went in and ate the Dango first, He took a bite of the Dango. "Uhh, this is so sticky and too sweet" you looked at him "Oh that food is called Dango, they tasted like sweet rice, I guess you're not a fan of sweets, I usually ate them last and washed it down with tea." He puts the Dango down on his plate and tries the Onigiri. 

He took a bite of the Onigiri "This tasted good" he mumbles "I'm glad you liked it" you smiled while you took a bite of your Onigiri "That thing you're eating is called Onigiri. It's a triangle shaped stuffed rice with salted fillings wrapped in a seaweed sheet" you explained to him "I see, what feelings did you put into this?" Kuni questioned "Well, I put Lavender Melons in there since I'm lacking on ingredients, I hope you still liked it" you closed your eyes in hoping that he likes it. "I actually ate Lavender Melons before, I have no problem eating them if it's the only thing I can eat to survive"

He said with a hint of sadness while staring at the Onigiri that was half eaten. "I see" you replied with a concerned face.

'How much pain did he suffer?' you questioned in your head.

After he finishes his food he washes it all down with some herbal tea you handed to him alongside the Onigiris and Dango. He took a sip of the herbal tea, "This tea, tasted nice" Kuni said "Really? You liked it?" you questioned with a shock of joy. "Yeah it's nice, what's wrong about it?" Kuni questioned "Well, some people don't like herbal tea, they say it's bitter and disgusting" you replied. He sips the herbal tea again. "It tasted fine, I guess I'm one of those tea kind of people".

Both of you finished your snacks and you decided to wash the dishes "Kuni go ahead and rest I'll clean the dishes" you said, you sat up and noticed Kuni wasn't responding, you took a close look of him and he already slept with his head lowered down.

You decided to pick him up in a bridal position, as you touched him you felt a sting of heat on his pale skin and realized he had a fever, your eyes widened 

"On dear, Kuni..."
