Darkness

|Darkness. That's all I see. It's like I have fallen into an abyss of loneliness.

Then, a voice pulls me out of my isolated void.

"Uhh... are you okay?" a British voice asks. I open my eyes.

A tall, green figure was standing in front of me. They had long ebony hair with and emerald stripe and dark markings around their shockingly vivid green eyes. A warm but pitying half smile crosses their face.

"Need a hand?" they laugh sheepishly. I try to stand up but I almost fall over, like a baby deer in a nature documentary. They manage to pull me up off of the ground. I was surrounded by rubble.

Then it hits me. The building. It fell and crushed me. I can't be alive.

I must be dead.

"Thank you," the sound of my own voice startles me.It was soft and wavering, the sort of tone that you have when you're either about to cry or collapse.

I felt woozy and unwell. At this point in time, I wouldn't mind collapsing...

And that's exactly what I did.

Suddenly, the green figure catches me like how ----- should have caught me.

They remind me of ----- so much.

I gaze into their neon eyes for what seems like an eternity.

"I'm Morro, elemental master of wind.My pronouns are he/they and I'm always sleep deprived. What's your name?"

I think of a witty way to introduce myself to them(him?) I quietly say,

"I'm Harumi, I almost killed the Green Ninja!", hoping he wouldn't hear.

"Wait. You tried to kill Lloyd too?" Morro laughs. 

Wow. He has a really nice smile. I feel myself blush.

No way. No No No No No.

We just met, I can't be crushing on someone I just met!

"So just to be clear, am I dead?" I question. "Just curious."

He then thinks for a moment, like he's making a life changing decision.

"No. But I am, if that makes you feel any better." he responds.

We sit by the remnants of the building, watching the moon rise.

"Well it was nice meeting you Morro, but I need to - - -"

I'm homeless.

Morro then sighs heavily.

"I heard what happened. You can stay at mine for a while I guess." 

We smile and watch the moon for a few more minutes until we're ready to go to his apartment.

I'm probably gonna post chapter two on here tomorrow or saturday.

I'm taking suggestions for chapter three on es so dm me and I might put it in the story!
