Chapter Three

Teru's POV~

   I was just going out on a nightly patrol so that no supernatural would kill anybody. Since supernaturals have no hesitation to not attack that makes it easier for me to know what they are going to do next. I walked down the street thinking how the protection of the world from apparitions and the living is on my shoulders. I heard a young boy scream from my left. He could actually see the monster above him. It was about to kill him so, I took out my sword from the scab to erase this apparition from the living world. I stabbed it from the back and created a lightning attack.

   SNNK!!

   I looked at young boy to see if he was injured. No injuries seemed to appear on him. I was about to walk away, but he grabbed my hand. I turned to him and he was crying.

Amane's POV~

  I was worried if I was dead but, I opened my eyes to see I was still alive with no monster in front of me anymore. I turned my head to see the person who saved me. He was starting to walk away. Before he could leave, I grabbed his hand and when I did that tears started to fall from my eyes. He looked at me. " Who are you? What was that?" I asked. He kneeled down and patted my head. "It's okay, there's no need to worry anymore." He said.

    " There is!" I yelled at him, causing for some people to look at me. I didn't want to let him go. If I can see that, than I can probably see supernaturals as well. I'm scared. He came lower and puts his hands on my shoulders, "No there isn't not when me and my family can destroy these apparitions. You got that?" He and his family... what is his family? I looked at him in confusion. " Who is your family?" I asked. He opened up with a smile saying, " I'm from the Minamoto family." Mina- WAIT WHAT!!  Kou's last name is Minamoto I wonder... I tugged his hand once more. " Hey do you have a brother by Kou?" He looked at me and nodded. Before I could continue I felt a water drop. I looked up and saw that it was starting to rain. Minamoto stood up and had his hand out. " You can stay at my place it's not that far from here." He requested.

    I took his hand. And he carried me on his shoulders and ran to his house. Minamoto rang the doorbell and put me down. " Teru Onii-chan is home Kou!!" A young girl yelled from behind the door. The door opened and I was face to face with Kou. "Amane? What are doing here?" I couldn't speak. I just looked down. " He needs to stay here it's started raining when I was patrolling. And I think his place is far away." Teru answered.

   " Oh okay!" Kou said smiling. Kou grabbed my hand and welcomed me in. " This is my sister Tiara and you meet my older brother Teru. Some nights he goes out to patrol."

    Patrol? I know he said he destroys apparitions. But, doesn't he get scared. Do Kou and Tiara feel lonely when he is not there? Wait speaking of brother I have to call Tsukasa to tell him that I couldn't get home. " Hey Kou do you have a house phone?" I asked. He nodded and pointed where it was located. I went to call Tsukasa right away. I told him that I was really sorry for not being at home and that he was attacked. Tsukasa understood and said that he'll see me at school. After that I hung up and smelled something great. I walked to the kitchen and saw Kou cooking. " Kou I didn't know you could cook." I said sounding suprised. He looked at me and smiled.

    " Well, I do kinda spend time a lot with cooking and family." Kou said focusing on cooking. Then his expression changed. He looked quite sad. So I thought of helping him with cooking I grabbed the salt he needed to finish it. But clumsy me had to trip over a little crack back up. Kou turned to me and-
