Her story:
When the war began, Saber was only a few months old. Her sister, a few years older. They used to live in Virginia, but Saber's father was deported to Washington D.C. The president had called for all of the capable scientists, nurses, and whoever could help them out with the war.
Time past and Saber turned 10 years old. That's when she got her Pip Boy 3000.
But it was also the year her mother, Kuchel, would die.
A few days after her birthday, Kuchel had saved up enough caps to make a birthday cake, so she set out. Saber's older sister, Rose, offered to aid her mother in case of any raiders. Her mother smiled and said "It's alright dear. I'll only be a few minutes. I love you girls." Those were the last words Kuchel would ever speak to her kids.
Rose and Saber went out looking for their mother, then they stumbled upon her dead body a few miles away from their house. After they found out about who killed their mom, they made sure it was the most tortuous death the poor sod could ever experience.
After their mother passed, it was only the two girls.
Their father was off with the rest of the scientists. God knows where.

Five years had passed, Saber decided that it was high time they go looking for their father. Rose didn't agree with her younger sister.
So saber went alone.
She told herself that she will find her dad. Dead or alive.

Her story;
When she was about 3 years old, World War III was unfolding before her very eyes. It wasn't until she was five that she realized what was going on.
She was taught how to defend herself at the age of 9, age 12, she could take down a full grown man.
She always felt it was her duty to protect her younger sister, to always be there for her.
That was especially important after their mom passed away.
Since then, Rose knew that she had to protect Saber at all costs.
Even if it meant going after her when she ran away from home.
