One Month Later:
It has been long after I got the job and things have gotten better for me. Lately I've been saving money and I hope I have enough money. The parts I live in are poor so the prices for apartments are cheap. Hope is the only thing that can help me, so I'll let hope guide my way. This has been an excitement for me. The only thing that hasn't been good is the fact that I haven't bought a place for myself yet. But now that is going to change and I'll make sure it happens. Today was going to be that day, the day where I wouldn't be found on the streets or in the same clothes. It was going to be different. You'll see me as the girl with her own apartment and different clothes each day like a normal person. That's going to be me.
The next day I went to my job happily. The thought of my own house wouldn't get out of my head. "Good morning," I happily said to Mrs. Francis. "Good morning." "I've been thinking about getting my own apartment," I said getting my head in the clouds. "What's holding you back? I think that's good, you should get your own place. You can't just stay on the streets anymore," she said making me feel even more hopeful. "Then I'll do it! Is it okay if I use your computer for a second?" I asked so that I can look online for apartments. "Sure but before you do have here you go," she said handing me an envelope full of money. "What's this for?" "Every two weeks remember," she said as she showed me to her computer. As I searched the web I found a two apartments and both were close to the shop. They both had four and a half stars, which wasn't bad at all, and they both looked really nice.
"Which one do you think I should get? They both are nice," I asked Mrs. Francis. "Hmm they both look good. In my opinion get the apartment with more rooms." "They both have four rooms and two bathrooms," I sighed. "Then get the one with prettier wall paper," she said. The first room had a gorgeous dark blue wall paper with gray and green patterns, and the second one was a yellow with purple and pink flowers. "I think I'll get the first one with the blue wall paper," I said at last making my final decision. "Good, because that was the one I was hoping you would get," she said. After making the decision I bought the apartment online and I would be moving there next in two days. The more those two days got closer the more excited I got.
It was finally the day I would be moving in to my new apartment. When I got to my apartment it looked even better than in the pictures. Everything was perfect and everything was right and I couldn't be happier. The walls reminded me of a beautiful ocean that was calm and still but at the same time was wild and alive. This time I'll make sure I won't lose my apartment. After all that has happened it almost seemed like yesterday when my parents and I were on vacation and when the plane crashed making me feel like nothing mattered. But now I realized it was supposed to be like that. If it hadn't happened I wouldn't have learned how to live on my own and how to make a living out of my life. It now made sense and now there was no way I'll let go of chances ever again.
