Let me tell you about the day my life changed once and for all. It was a chilly mid-summer evening, I was gathering my books, and was about to head to school. I grabbed my glasses off the bedside table and rushed downstairs. "Mom hurry up we're going to be late" I said pushing up my glasses so they wouldn't fall down. "Its fine sweetie" "No its not!" I grimaced "I'm going to be late for my first day of school, its hard enough I am the youngest kid in class" We rushed out the door with a slam and hurried of to the car. "Mom where is dad?" Seconds later, she looks down at her feet hesitating to answer "I told you honey he still working on that case, He'll be back doon don't worry." She kissed me good bye as I opened the front door to get out. I walked towards the front door of my school praying for this day to go well.
Suddenly I heard a loud scream, I turn around in horror only to see my mother's lifeless body on the ground. Blood covered her face and arms, The car that ran over her came to a full stop, and the driver came out gasping in utter horror. Tears covered my blood red eyes, as I ran towards my mom's cold dead body. A single tear rolled down my cheek and onto her face. I screamed my heart out with a painful cry. I could hear voices confronting me telling me that everything would be alright. But their voices were numb to me, all I could think about was that I would never see her again. Sirens coming our way faintly. A pair of strong hands tore me away from my mother but I shook out of their grasp. I cried all my tears out. As I watched my dear mother go. I harshly got onto my knees as thoughts ran through my mind. All I could think about was her. Memories of her gushed through my mind. As I wiped an old man came towards me and patted my back. "Hey little girl, wanna have a talk?" Even though I was badly hurt and was barly able to do anything I went and sat with him. We had a long talk, and it also cheered me up. As we were looking up at the sky, I had realized its was already night. So I got up and told him a goodbye, but as I was walking "home" I stopped mid-way I said, "m-my house, where will stay now?-" The old man got up and cheerfully said "You can live with me sweetheart!" "Really" "Sure come now its getting late" We walked home silently as soon as we reached the old mans house he took me to a cosy room, and tucked me in. I was fast asleep, I was feeling okay as I still had my dad but once I woke up I found out that all my hopes would not come true.
Sitting up, I wore my glasses I saw the old man sitting next to me with a sad face by that I could understand I had bad news coming. I asked "Whats wrong" He answered in a low tune "You dad..." I dint understand a word he said, I was clueless on what he meant by your dad? I answered him "What do you mean?" "You dad past away months ago dear, after what you said to me yesterday I felt a doubtful, thus last night I had researched on him. In shock I just sat speechless, my last hopes too was now vanished. Without another thought I hugged him saying "I'm scared where will I live now? I have no one, no one..." "Don't worry honey I am there with you. I can adopt you if you want." "Really?" "Sure" The next day I had started living with him. It was really fun but I still wish for my parents to be there.
