I slowly knock on Geoffrey's door. Hoping that he'll answer. When I hear the shuffle of feet Im releived but nervous all at the same time. When he opens the door I open my mouth to speak but he beats me to it.

"You're the girl who saved me. Right?" he asks.

"Um... Yes. I am sir, but I was wondering if I could talk to you. You don't have to talk to me I was just wondering..." I trail off, trying not to ramble. He just smiles and moved away from the door, motioning for me to enter. I give him a sheepish smile before walking past him and into his small home.

He pads by me and drags a chair out to beside a large leather chair. He pats it so I sit down and wait while he walks over to his chair and sits down.

"What do you want to talk about about?" he asks. Really, I don't know. Just about a lot of stuff.

"Well, I have a few questions if you don't mind." I say, the need for answers growing with every passing second. When he nods I begin.

"First of all, why were you in the pool? You don't look fit enough to be swimming." I say gently, not wanting to hurt his feelings.

"Ah, yes. I was denying the system. I was making a one person stand. Of course... That must sound crazy... But it isn't! I swear!" he quickly sais, like I'm going to punish him for sounding a bit absurd.

"No, that sound reasonable. But... Why were you making a stand? What did anyone do to you?" I ask seriously. This question is important.

"They took away my freedom. All of our freedoms! They choose our jobs, give us certain monthly supplies, don't let us outside and require the young to do jobs for free. Then, once your old you just sit in your room, eat, get a check up and then thats it. They control everything!" Geoffrey declares, hatred burning in his eyes, venom laced in his voice.

"That makes sense Sir. But, why do they keep us in here? Why don't they even tell us what's out there? What is out there?"  I ask, hoping, believing he has the answers.

"I... I don't know. I'm so sorry."  he sais, shoulders hunched and a frown formed onto his face. I just nod and stand up to leave.

"It's okay Geoffrey. Thank you." I say before rushing out. I speed walk down the carpeted Hall and towards the elevator. At least one other person can see the crude, evil society we live in. Why is everyone else so blissfully ignorant?

Truth behold, this place where we live and the things we do are awful, none of it is fair. So unless we can't go outside because it's toxic, there is simply no reason except for the will of a trapped, strictly scheduled and secluded life. I want to fix that.

I stare defiantly ahead of me as the elevator doors slide open, revealing unused floor number one.
