Mission Successful!

"Rank!", yelled Marc, Rank's deputy, "Mission 38 is done!". Marc handed Rank a big box then said, "They're in here!", he smiled then stepped back, bowing. "Thank you Marc", Rank said as he took the box, "You never fail me". Marc stood proudly. "Now since those intruders (humans) are gone, we got Earth to ourselves!". Rank and Marc Laughed evilly. I stood back, I am not use to Rank's evil ways. I have only been his assistant for a few days! "Ace!", I snapped back in to reality at the sound of my name. "Yes sir!", I said with a solute. "Go get Colby and bring him here! Hurry!". I slipped through the big steel doors to the primary room where Colby was on his shift. As I walked to him Leighton walked in front of me. "How is this?", he asked me (Leighton was working on new inventions, we was showing me his newest creation, a micro- blaster), Leighton grabbed a pineapple and placed it on a table. He grabbed his micro-blaster and walked by the table. He sat the blaster on his shoulder and got ready to fire. On the count of three he shot the pineapple. There was a flash then a pop. I hid behind a chair and so did leighton. Once the noises and flashing stopped I got back on to my feet. Leighton was already up and walking towards the pineapple. He brought it to me. It was twice as small! "Nice! The only suggestion I would make is to bring the flash and noises to a minimum.". We laughed for a few minutes. Then I headed towards Colby. "Hey Ace!", Colby said with a smile. "Hey! Rank said you need to report to the command room", I said. Colby nodded then walked towards the steel doors. I decided that I should head to my dorm and tell Mandy about mission 38.

Once I got there I saw Mandy on the computer. She heard me shut the door, so she turned her head in my direction. "How'd it go?", she asked. "Successful", I said. She shrugged, then went back to typing. "What's wrong?", I asked. "It's not right to keep innocent humans hostage! I mean that is just wrong!". "trust me, i know. I have to watch them do it", I said as I sat down in my beanbag. "What did they do to Rank?". "Nothing wrong. He thought that Earth was his land and that he didn't want any intruders on it". "So technically it was a misunderstanding?". "Yep". "Why didn't anyone stop him?". "Maybe because he is Rank. He has a army, a bodyguard, and a machine gun!". "And?", Mandy said defensively. "And he could kill you!", I realized I was standing so I quickly sat down. Mandy went back to typing. "I mean like it is to late anyway", i said with a sigh. Mandy didn't say anything. Mandy was the kind of person that wanted everyone to be happy, she hated war movies, basically any movie that a person gets hurt. "Mandy, there is nothing that I could of done". "I know". "So what's wrong?". "It's just, I hate living in a world where our leader is Rank!". Mandy get's .... dangerous when she's mad so I decided to go meet Ida at the courtyard, where she is usually studying.

To go to the courtyard from the dorms you have to cut through the park, where younger children hang. "Hey! What are you doing here?", this was Jake, my cousin who is in training for being an assistant for the leaders , like Rank. "I went to go see Ida, Mandy's mad about mission 38". "Oh, I don't blame you". "Jake!", this was one of his friends. "Sorry, I got to go. See you tomorrow!", Jake yelled as he headed to his friends. I waved and headed to the courtyard.
