The clock strikes 2 am in the morning and Adrian was just arriving at her apartment. She fidget with her keys to find the house key. Once she unlocked the door she went inside and dropped all her things on the couch. She turned on the lights and went straight to the bathroom.
She undressed and got straight into the shower. After a long shift she finally got to relax. She stood in the shower for about 10 minutes before getting out.
She wrapped herself in a towel before heading to her room. She sat down on the bed with her phone and looked at her notifications.
Mom💕 We love and miss you Adrian!
She deleted the conversation and opened the next one from her brother.
Russ Call me when you get off.
She immediately called him after reading the text. The phone ringed twice before he answers. "Hello?" She spoke.
"Oh I didn't think you'll call me." He said.
"Why you say that?" She asked.
"Because Ian hear shit from you in like 2 months." He said.
"Please it been 2 weeks and you barley call and text me." She said. "But what's up?"
".... You know why I called you." He said.
"Before you ask. Nope." She shakes her head.
He smacked his lips sighing. "Look whatever you got going on just end the shit with Ma and dad. They want you to move back ho-"
"No Russ. I'm doing good." She said. "I want everyone to stop asking me to come home. I'm doing good I promise."
Adrian is a 20 year old who lives in Huston, Texas by herself while the rest of her family is in Austin, Texas. She just recently moved to Huston to get away from her toxic family. Especially her parents.
"Ok." He said. "But you know Ma and Dad want to see and speak to you."
"How about you move back home? I'm sure everyone would be happy to see you." She said. "You moved all the way to New York I just came to Huston which is like 2 hours from Austin. If they wanted to see a speak to me they would be at my door step."
"Ok you got a point there. But these our parents. I'm sure everyone would be happy to see you too." He said. "We can't shut parents or because they say something that makes you mad."
She rolled her eyes listening Russ kiss their parents ass. "You're just 20. Still a baby. You somewhere by yourself-"
"Ok Russ I don't feel like having this conversation. I just got off and I'm tired." She said before hanging up. She tossed her phone behind her.
She oiled her body before putting on and oversized t shirt. She turned on her tv and sat down rubbing her feet.
Her feet ached from standing on them all day. She worked a double and regret it. Adrian mind wonder off thinking about her family. She wonder if they even thought about her.
No one bothered checking in on her since she left Austin besides her mom and Russ. She thought of her sisters and wondered what they were doing. She had and love hate relationship with her two big sisters. Sometimes they get along and sometimes they don't.
She hadn't spoken to them in a while but she wasn't going to call them first. As she thought of her sisters she got a flash back of the day she decided she wanted to move away.

"Don't turn yo back on me when I'm talking to you lil girl! You heard what I said. You a disappointment! I try to help you and make things right but you so damn bitter and angry!" Her father yelled at her as she sat on the couch looking up and both her parents.
As she was about to slam her door he pushed it open. "Tell me what's yo problem? Because this disrespectful ass attitude towards me and your momma is disgusting and I'm tired of it!"
"So she can say all the disrespectful stuff to me but when I say 'ma I don't like the way you said that or I think that was a little unnecessary to say to your own daughter' I'm being disrespectful? I- " she huffed shaking her head. "I literally can't win."
"And you won't! This is my house I will say whatever the hell I want to anybody. If you don't like the truth get out!" Her mom yelled.
"Ok and I will and when I leave don't call or text my phone asking me to come back this time because I won't! I'm literally so sick of staying in this damn house with you anyway because all you do is fish for arguments with me! You literally act as if I done something horrible to you when I done nothing but exist!" She began to cry.
"I don't know what your problem is but you need therapy. All this is just the devil coming up out you. Do what you need to do because I'm sick of dealing with you." She said waving her off. "When you move out go ahead and let me know how many days you'll be at that boy house because your gonna come back. His momma ain't gonna want you over her house either. Nobody does."
Adrian nodded her head before looking by over at her father who stared at her. "And you going to take her side as always." She said.
"Adrian you have issues you need to deal with on your own. Wherever you go just go be happy because obviously we can't make you happy here. I wish you the best. I don't know what else to tell you." He dropped his arms shaking his head.
She wiped her face as those words sunk in. She nodded her head. "You know what I'm tired of having these conversations." She said before going straight to her room.
Later that night
"Meghan please let me stay with you. I don't want to stay here no more. I don't know if I do need help or whatever the case might be but I haven't been happy for the longest." Adrian cried as she pleaded to stay with her sister.
"Adrian I really would let you stay but you know my man stay with me too." She said.
"I don't care about him. I just need to stay somewhere. I'm literally outside sitting in my car. Please I can't do it." She said.
"Ask Leilani, I can't let you stay while my man is here. Don't you think that'll be weird?" She asked.
"Ok Meghan." She sighted. "I didn't want to ask Leilani because she already don't fuck with me like that. But it's fine." She said before hanging up.
As soon as she hung up the phone she broke down realizing she had no where to go. She felt as if everything and everyone turned their back on her.
