MOON, HERE IS UR BETTER PRESENT LMAO, it's shorter than the other one, but much better written so I hope you like it!! Anyway, ilysm, have a merry Christmas Moon <3<3<3
"Rinne-kun, don't even think about it." Niki had developed a sixth sense for detecting when a certain someone was messing with his cooking while his back was turned, after living with the man for almost five years he kind of had to otherwise parts of his meals would be 'mysteriously' missing. He turned from the drawer where he was getting the rolling pin to unsurprisingly find Rinne holding the spoon he had been using to mix the mince pie filling with. "Rinne-kun, don't you dare!" It was too late, Rinne had started licking the spoon, Niki just had to hope he didn't put it back into the bowl, it was alright when the food was only for himself and Rinne, but he was making this food for the whole of Crazy:B, and he did not think someone like HiMERU would appreciate Rinne saliva in his food.
Rinne luckily put the spoon on the side after he was done, possibly because Niki gave him a disgustingly dirty look when he went to put it back into the bowl. "Niki's food is as good as always kyahaha!" Niki rolled his eyes, chucking the tainted spoon into the sink and putting flour onto the surface of the counter. "I know my food is good, but you can wait till after it's actually done y'know." Niki took the dough that he had made earlier, placing it onto the counter and beginning to roll it out. "Nah, I don't like waiting, 'sides, I get to eat the finished food regardless, so what's stopping me?" Niki wasn't even looking at Rinne, more focused on the pastry that he was working on, but he could tell that Rinne was smirking at Niki, he could just tell it from his tone of voice. "One day I'm gonna stop making you any food and then you'll be sorry for taking advantage of me, hmph!" Niki felt two arms wrapping around his waist from behind, not flinching as he was used to Rinne being clingy when they were alone. "You would never do that, Niki loves me too much." Niki looked over his shoulder at Rinne, whose smirk had turned into more of a fond smile. "Yeah, you're probably right. Nahaha!" Niki burst into laughter upon seeing Rinne's expression, this guy always teased and flirted with Niki, but now he was getting flustered from Niki just admitting he loved him? "Oi, quit laughing." Rinne flicked Niki's forehead gently, "I was just surprised since you always deny it dumabass."
"Eh? I'm in a good mood right now, I mean, it's Christmas Eve and you promised to take me to a nice restaurant tomorrow, so of course I love you!" Rinne pretended to look hurt, but Niki could tell how happy he was because of the younger man's words. "Niki is so cruel to me, you only ever love me when I buy you food." Rinne made extremely fake sobbing noises, which Niki simply rolled his eyes at. "I always love you Rinne-kun, I just love you more when I get food nahaha!" Niki shoved Rinne off of him gently so that he could get a round cutter from the drawer, returning back to where he was to continue making his mince pies. Unsurprisingly he felt Rinne wrap his arms around his waist the second he got back. "Hey Niki?" Niki hummed, signalling Rinne to continue. "Are ya sure you don't ever wanna get married? Because it would be like a great excuse to make a massive freaking cake." Niki actually hadn't considered that, surprising since he always thinks about food, but imagining how much food they could have at their wedding almost made him drool.
"It's not that I don't want to marry you Rinne-kun, but it's against the law y'know? Nahaha, wedding cake sounds so good though!" Obviously Niki wouldn't get married just for wedding cake, if he really wanted to he could make a six tier cake at any time, but food was definitely part of why he would get married. Food always tasted better when eating with people you loved, so he imagined the day when he was getting married to the man he loved the most to have the best tasting food. He felt Rinne's lips press onto the back of his neck as Rinne squeezed him gently, this was as intimate as Rinne allowed himself to get with Niki, he wanted his first kiss on the lips to be the most important one, Niki could tell Rinne didn't want to wait, but they both knew it would be worth it, that first kiss being the one that ties them together for the rest of their lives.
When Niki had finished filling the mince pies, he got out an extra spoon and him and Rinne ate the rest of the filling in the bowl. He had tried it before Rinne had entered the kitchen, and it paled in comparison. No ingredient could replace the taste of the fond feelings he felt for Rinne, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
