Kellie PoV:
Today, another day full of opportunities ahead, I got called out of work for a long trip to Spain but I'm glad to be back and actually work. I was on-time to pickup my coffee and pick a perfect parking spot on school grounds.
Keep in mind it was 7:50 A.M. so I was "on-time".
Mother always told me 'if you're on-time you're late, if you're early you're on-time'.
So I guess I'm late.I grabbed my bags and cup of coffee and locked the car, and proceeded inside the school.
Every hall I hurried down there were only teachers and students walking about. I heard clamoring and shushes from inside my classroom.
"Silence!" A woman shouted, muffled oddly enough but the door was cracked open.
Weird, I'm not sick or don't have a sub today.
I walked inside the classroom to find a beautiful woman sitting in my velvet chair situated in-front of the student's desks'.
"So sorry I'm late, I didn't mean to interrup-"
"Maybe you should set an alarm and be more conscious of what time it is Ms. Ashworth." She scolded, overflowing coldness dripping along her words.
And there it was, the "Ms" in my name. I was infact not married, for 4 lonely years.
Every family member looked down on me for it.Not even out of the closet for being lesbian.
"Like I said," the brunette woman got out the chair and walked behind and abruptly stopped. "Get a watch because I will not cover for you stupidity." She huffed and briskly walked away.
Tears were flowing on my eyes and I sat down, wow. What a great year, even the math teacher doesn't like me. How am I supposed to make a living out of this? I thought to myself.
"Excuse me-" a small middle-age teenager whispered sitting in the corner of the front row of seats. "But may we head to our first class?"
Shit. I'm not even ready!
"Yes you may."
And with those words they hurried out of the class and more slightly taller people rushed in and took their seats.
