Raine pov
quiet sobbs could be herd within the whispering woods every child at the park ignored it. they feared it could be Wendigo, imitating a childs sobbs to lure its next victim. honestly I feared the same, though my soul tugged me in the direction of the forest. the houses round the opposite side of the park began to fade behind me as I entered deeper into the forest; following the quiet whimpering.
weaving my way through the trees towards the growing sound I found that this was not a Wendigo but a girl which looks about my age crying just beyond the garden's fence of a small home
y/n pov
a rustling through the trees ahead caught my attention. sobs getting swallowed in my tightening throat. I begin shaking in terror are the monsters that Mama always tells me about coming after me? was I really a bad child? so much so that that came for me? I see silver rimed circles that shine in the evening sun making the head of moss atop it seem even more ominous. in terror I stumble back to the garden fence. wanting to shout go anyway but all I manage is to continue stumbling forward. "WAIT!" I hear behind me I spin around as I reach the fence to see who the voice belongs to and to my surprise it's a boy. a boy in glasses and it is in fact not a possessed creature coming to punish me for all the bad Mama says I've done.
"who are you?" I speak boldly
"my name's Reine, Reine whispers." he says coming closer "and you?"
"I'm y/n, y/n l/n"

honestly it's taking all my willpower not to delete it and go write something about a character that I'm actually romantically interested in like bakugo, hunter, sano mangro, or Loki cuz why not
but mainly I'm keeping it so I can see my eventual improvement in writing
and yes I can be convinced to continue this well just say the currently have absolutely no motivation whatsoever especially cuz we just moved 🥲
