The Hero Within

Ted was a 15 year old boy who had always dreamed of becoming a superhero. As a huge fan of Batman, he used to role play as his favorite hero by patrolling his neighborhood on his bike and surveilling the houses around him using binoculars and gear he had bought online.

One of the houses he kept a close eye on was that of his neighbor, Leia, who he had a huge crush on.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when Leia's mother passed away. A few months later, her father started drinking heavily and beating Leia in front of his friends.

Ted couldn't stand by and watch this happen, so he confronted Leia and begged her to call the police. But Leia refused, saying "he is my father, I can’t."

Feeling powerless, Ted came up with a plan to teach Leia's father and his friends a lesson. Together, they set up traps around and inside the house and prepared to scare them as vigilantes at night.

As they wait for the men to come in, they hear footsteps approaching. They take a deep breath and get ready to spring into action.
Unfortunately, their plan doesn't go as smoothly as they had hoped. They are caught by Leia's father and his friends, who decide to teach Ted a lesson.

Just when all hope seemed lost, the Bat signal glowed in the sky,
Terrified, Ted closed his eyes told himself “He will not come, he has not come since he joined the Justice League. He does not care about these kinds of situations anymore; he might be on another planet fighting alien species." And waited for the worst.

Suddenly a mysterious figure appears and starts beating up the men.
As the mysterious figure was about to attack Leia's father, Ted opened his eyes and saw none other than the Caped Crusader himself, The Batman, standing before him as his savior…

Batman looked at Ted and said” Leave the justice to the professional’s kid". Ted couldn't believe his eyes; he had always dreamed of becoming a superhero and here was his idol standing right in front of him. He was so overwhelmed that he couldn't even speak.

Batman picked up Leia and handed her over to Ted, telling him to take her to safety. Ted nodded silently and grabbed his bike, quickly riding off with Leia
clinging onto him tightly.

As they rode through the streets, Ted couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and responsibility wash over him. He had always wanted to be a superhero and here he was, saving the day just like his idols.

When they reached safety, Ted turned to Leia and smiled. "I'm sorry about your dad," he said softly. "But don't worry, we'll find a way to stop him and his friends."

Leia nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you, Ted," she whispered. "You're my hero."

Ted's heart swelled with pride. He had always wanted to be a hero, and now he finally was one.
