I waved at him across the road while he stood on the road opposite to mine. He smiled widely when he noticed me waving at him, he waved back. It was the Christmas Eve and we planned to spend this time together, taking a break from our busy schedule and giving each other some attention that we both were craving for soo long. I'm so excited for today's date. I jumped in enthusiasm while waiting for him to cross the road.

The area wasn't that crowded but still a lot of people were present on the road. He waited patiently for the signal to turn red and once it did he started taking steps to cross the road while he kept taking glances at me. I smiled widely at him but then.

All I remember is watching him getting hit by a car. The car was operated very roughly and in a fast speed. Soon the car hit the lamp post and the people started screaming and running here and there creating a chaos, the whole crowd was scattered around area. I stood there staring at his dead body lying in the middle of the road. I felt my legs getting weaker to the point I couldn't stand and ended up sitting on the road beside him. My clothes were now stained with his blood and my heart was pounding very fast, I felt my body heat up. But I couldn't speak a word. The scene that I witnessed just now was shocking for me.

" Help! " I screamed as loudly as I could. Tears started flowing down my eyes once I looked at his face. His eyes were looking at me

I stared at the night sky when the music played in the background. I wanted to avoid the music but it's soo loud that it reaches here too. I thought the garden outside the venue would be quiet, but I guess no. I hate it. I hate the music. Its been 3 weeks since that accident and I feel dead inside. People tell me to move on but I can't it's only him 24 hours in my mind. I can't move on. I can't move on from him doesn't matter how much I try.

Why? Why him out of everyone? Why did it had to be him? Why? What was his fault? It's getting hard for me to cope up with this life. I'm tired of crying everytime I think about him. Crying won't bring him back but there's literally nothing I can do. The same scene replayed on my mind. Him lying on the middle of the road, people running, car's horn could be heard. Even though I don't want to but when that scene flashed again on my mind I couldn't help but cry.

" Here. " Someone held their handkerchief to me. I thought I was the only person here since everyone was busy enjoying the party. " Thanks " I had no courage to look at who it was, since I was already embarrassed. I wiped my tears with the given handkerchief. " I'll return it to you after cleaning it" I mumbled. But all I could hear was a chuckle. " Do you even know my Name?" I shook my head but still didn't look at him. " Yedam. Bang Yedam. You don't have to return it. " He said and left before I could look at his face.

" Y/n, please just go on a break. This isn't good for you. " Her boss was frustrated at her. She was worried about her mental health since she haven't taken any break after the incident. She knew they really liked each other and after knowing what happened she couldn't help but pity her for her ill luck. " I'm alright. Trust me. " Y/n gave her a assuring smile. Even though she said he was fine but she wasn't and that was crystal clear from her figure. She grew thinner these past days. It was hard for her to sleep at night that's why she had dark circles which ruined her beauty.

Her colleagues talked behind her back that how they feel sad for her condition. Even after going through alot she wants to continue her job. Y/n didn't want to keep thinking about him that's why she decided to indulge herself into her work. It was the only way for her to escape.

Y/n's POV

I placed my mails on the table and noticed a figure sitting on one of the chair placed in my cabin. " You are? " I hesitated on asking first but ended up saying. " Yedam. Bang yedam. Ms. Shin has assigned me as your assistant. " He smiled which revealed his dimples. " Assistant? " I was confused but then I realized something. It's him. The Guy from last night. " Aren't you the one from last night? " I grabbed my bag to find the washed handkerchief I kept in it but I couldn't find it.

" I don't need it back. " He gave me a faint smile and stared at me. I sat on my chair " Are you aware of what you need to do? " I asked him. " I am. " He nodded. " Why were you crying last night? " He was soo straight forward with his question that made me run out of words. " Just some personal reasons. " I managed to say not looking at him. " Let go of it. I don't know what it is but I think you should forget it and continue with your present. " He tried to comfort me with his words but I can't say that were they really comforting me Or not. " Let's get to work. " I shrugged and focused on the computer's screen in front of me.

Looking at Y/n's condition Yedam wanted to help her get out of her past. He always tried his best to make Y/n smile and his sweet gestures towards her made them grow closure to each other.

Days passed by and Y/n was finally healing from her past. Even the relationship between the two had developed a lot. Yedam was like a serotonin pill for Y/n who could cheer her up at any point and wouldn't waste any moment to make her smile. And for Yedam making Y/n happy was his goal for every day. He never let her think about her past memories. And some how they ended up growing feelings for each other. But Y/n felt it would be wrong to get in a relationship with someone when it hasn't been long her boyfriend passed away. She felt she was betraying him for having feelings for Yedam.

It was weekend and Yedam was at Y/n's  house. Since it was weekend they decided to watch a movie together. Both of them were very much into the movie when Y/n's door bell ring could be heard. She opened the door and saw her friend at the doorstep.

Y/n's Pov

" Jurin?! " I was surprised to see my friend who lives in abroad visit me. Even though she lives far away from me. She knows every bit of me, every single thing. " You made me soo happy " I immediately hugged her and she hugged me back. " I'm sorry. I should have come earlier " She said apologetically and proceeded to open her shoe to get inside. " I'm fine see. " I stood in front of her to show that I was indeed fine.

" Your timing is soo perfect. I want you to meet someone. " I was excited to introduce her to Yedam. " Who? Are they here? " I was hesitating. " Yes. Yedam is here. He's a nice guy. I want you to meet him. " I grabbed her arm to take her to the drawing room but she stood fixed to the floor. " Y/n.." Her voice was low and stared at me. " What? " I got worried when I saw her distressed face.

" Yedam is dead. Stop hallucinating. " I let go of her arm and glared at her. " You shouldn't be saying this about someone. " Why would she say such things about him. " Y/n get hold of yourself. Yedam died long ago! Get back to reality! " She wailed at me. " Stop it. He's in that room. He can hear you. " I tried to calm her down cause she seemed tensed. " Y/n please. You need to stop thinking about him. He's no more alive. "

" Enough Jurin! He is here-" When I entered the drawing room the TV was on but there was no one present in that room.
