Music could be heard blasting from your headphones as you sat in your bed, practically ignoring everything and everyone else around you in the moment.
You've hated mortals ever since you first went outside and leanred about them, just going to school reminds you why you absolutely despise them in the first place, and that stupid guy doesn't help out on your hatred for them.
You scroll through your feed on your phone, mindlessly losing yourself as you zone out.
Well, that was until your phone started vibrating and you saw that Heizou was calling you.
You sigh in frustration, you just can't seem to find any peace lately. Turning off your headphones, you put your phone to your ear and jump slightly at the sudden voice boomimg in your ear, causing you to back the phone away momentarily.
"Oh. My. God, [ Y/N ]. So, I know how you hate parties, bu-" You quickly cut him off before he could finish whatever his stupid sentence wanted to say, you don't care about all the parties that he wants to go to, and you never have. He knows you don't like them, so you really don't understand why he insists on you going to them.
"No. I'm not going to another party with you, Heizou. You know my answer." You spit harshly, it was on accident, really. You didn't mean to let what you were thinking out, but, he kind of needs it. It's getting ridiculous at this point.
"But- [ Y/N ]!" You can hear a hint of a whine in his voice, which only makes you roll your eyes at the desperation he seems to be in.
"Pleasee?? I'll do anything, I swear." It's audible that he's at least pouting right now, but, you brush it off. He might be your best friend, but he should know what to expect.
"No, I don't want to go to another party, one was enough. Be glad I at least did that." You sigh, picking a little at your sharp nails. You should really cut them...
You hear Heizou audibly sigh through the phone, and some shuffling going on in the background.
"But, come on... I need someone to be with me! I can't go alone and be like a loser! What if someone kidnaps me and never lets me go??? Then you won't even have a best friend anymore! And it'll be your fault..."
"Just make my younger brother go with you."
"Well- he's not you! I want you to come with me.."
"Oh my god, you're genuinely so frustrating. Fine, I'll go with you if you won't shut the fuck up about this." You sigh, rolling your eyes again. You can't believe this man.
"Yay! Okay, so. The partys at 8PM, I'll send you the address, okay? I'll let you know whenever I'm ready so you can pick me up and then we can go together! That sound good?" Heizou pauses for a moment, letting you respond. There's silence, before you mumble a small response.
"Yeah. Okay. See you there." You close your eyes, maybe if you close them for long enough God will hear your calls and let you out of your misery.
"Okay!! I promise, it's going to be amazing, [ Y/N ]." And those were his last words, before he hangs up on you.
You open your eyes, and, I guess God did answer your calls. You check the time, and you have a few hours until it starts. That's enough for you to spend, so, you decide to open your social media again, and brush off the fact that you have to go to another miserable party with far too many people than your comfortable with.
It'll be over soon, and you can just sit in a corner ignoring everything before Heizou calls you and tells you to drive him back home. It'll end soon.
