4. Just a loner

As soon as Nadira reached the canteen she pulled Izra out of the queue and found Inara sitting on 'their' table and grabbed her arm and took them both to the corner table that no one ever sat on.

"What yaar? " Inara said almost complaining

"Omg what? Have you fell in love? Did someone propose???? " Izra started asking.

"What the heck Izzy are you mad? " inara argued.

"Shut up both of you! Guess what just happened? I don't know whether to cry or be happy. "

Both the girls started staring right into Nadira's eyes because now they knew it was something worth listening to...

"So basically I went into class and sat alone on the side like the loner I am right? Then Lucas and Caitlin and them lot started saying shit about me so I tried to shut them up but they carried on so I ignored it. Then out of nowhere this guy shouted and held his collar , violated him then threatened everyone and walked out... "

The girls stared in shock , they were speechless....

"WHO! " Izra yelled loudly catching loads of people's attention.

Inara pulled her down and nudged her arm giving a death stare.

"Oh... Sorry" izra said

"I don't know who it was. " Nadira said sadly.

"Was he fit? " Izra asked this time quietly

Nadira gave her a disappointed mum look so did Inara.

"I mean he looked good... Ish I guess? " Nadira said trying to look like she couldn't care less.

"Wait.. Can you see him from here? " inara asked

Nadira looked back and saw him and his what looked like friends standing right behind the serving area.

"Oh wait yes! He that one by the serving area brown hair, tall and in the green jacket" Nadira described

"Oh him? No way! HE stood up for YOU????? " Inara said stunned

"What naru? I get he is good looking but why are you so shocked? " Izra asked genuinely confused.

"He is the guy I was talking about last year! Zahil! He is very rich! The guy who all the girls like , the one who beat up that Jason guy for talking about his cousin. "

"No way! Him?? But why would he stand up for a nerd like me? "Nadira said.

"I know right like don't take me the wrong way but he likes to stay in his own circle he doesn't talk to ANY girls. He says he doesn't want a relationship ; he only cares about his career goals. So why all of a sudden does he stand up for you? Also how do you not know him?"

"But he also said that he didn't want to hear them saying anything to anyone. So maybe it wasn't just for me? " Nadira added

"Nad your not understanding he never does that for anyone! He doesn't care less about what someone says to the other! "

"Also I have never paid attention to him at break and lunch but also from what I know he had never been in any of my classes so that's why I don't know him"

"Maybe he's in lovvveeee withhh youuuuu! " Izra shrieked.

"Don't be stupid I bet he was just trying to be nice to the random new girl he saw who was being picked on" Nadira said not knowing if she wanted what Izra said to be true or what she just
said to be true.

"Probably, because with Zahil especially I can't imagine there be another reason. I have known him for a few years this is very strange..." Inara said in the nicest way she could.

Nadira understood then that he didn't see anything other than a sad , loner nerd in her.

"Well what should I do now? " Nadira asked.

"I don't know maybe you should say thank you so that he doesn't think your rude and maybe you being nice to him can make sure that everyone carries on being scared of him and will not to say anything to you anymore" Inara suggested.

"Good idea, but not yet I don't want to seem desperate for help. " Nadira said.

Right after storming out Zahil just went outside and sat behind the stairs for him it was his "secret calm down spot" little did he know this was also Nadira and her friend's gossip spot.

And took the time to think about what he just did, why he did it and what was his explanation for anyone who asked gonna be?

He knew he didn't do it because someone was being picked on it was because Nadira was being picked on...  But he couldn't tell his friends that...

After that the bell rang and he headed to the canteen to find his friends anxiously waiting for him.

"Bro you alright what happened to you? " Ayaan asked

"Here's your bag" Areeb said passing it to him

The rest were just staring at Zahil waiting to see what his reply was,

"To be honest I don't know , them being mean just triggered me and I ended up saying what I said. "Zahil confessed.

Just then, as he was talking Nadira caught his eye as she passed him although she tried for him to not see her.

When he looked back to his friends he saw them all frowning at her.

"Chill guys why do you all look like you wanna kill her she did nothing" Zahil laughed.

Shortly after the bell rang and it was time for class 3.
