I woke early. I was to exited to even yawn for today I had come of age, I was now 12 moons old! Which meant I could begin my training and meet the other apprentices! my siblings will have to wait longer than me to become apprentices!
I wanted to make a good first impression so I groomed my coat and straightened my whiskers then looked at my silly siblings and neglective mother. I scoffed at the thought that she didn't want me! if it weren't for my father I'd be dead! I smiled and purred with great enthusiasm and bounded outside.
I felt proud of myself and sat waiting and purring.
"I presume you are waiting for me"
I looked up.
FIRESTAR!
"I hope you don't mind but I will have another apprentice at the same time she is also new but you must be friendly my kit she is quite fragile "
I nodded to show my understanding agreement.
"very well, swift paw come and meet my kit,tabbypaw "
I was shocked an apprentice name already! how special!
A small runt who also was a tabby, but her eyes were sapphire blue, stepped around the corner and mewed in greeting "hi tabbypaw,I like your eyes!"
she whispered. "thanks " I purred "I love your name ".
suddenly Thunderstorm a clan warrior padded up to Firestar and meowed "my leader river clan wish to see you now " Firestar looked thoughtfully for a moment and then said "very well Thunderstorm, swiftpaw and tabbypaw go to the apprentices den and try out your nests while you wait for me""Yes leader "we mewed. he bounded off and we padded our way to the apprentices den with shire delight.

"woh! look at all the bedding tabbypaw "purred swiftpaw. "I know "I replied "and my mum thought I wouldn't survive to this day! I bet your mum was nicer! wait,which queen is your mum I've never seen you in the nursery!?!? "
swiftpaw shuffled his paws and bowed his head down "have I said something wrong " I mewed "I might aswell explain "he hissed sadly.
