Allen pov
I open my eyes and look at the calendar, it's Christmas. I smile to myself and get dressed before heading down to the dining hall. When I get there, I see Lavi, Lenalee, and Kanda sitting at a table, I smile at them before turning to Jerry. "What will it be for today Allen?" He says smiling at me. "I'll have..."(I'm sorry but I'm not typing all that up). My food eventually came and I put it on a cart and walked over to the others. "Merry Christmas Allen-Kun." Lenalee greets me. "Merry Christmas to you as well, and you to Lavi." He smiled at me as I sat next to Lenalee. "Look at that tree, and the number of presents underneath it." Lavi breathed, he wasn't wrong, the tree was huge. It went all the way to the 4th floor, and there were many presents under it. Most probably from the finders to the exorcist, as a thank you for keeping them safe.
It's currently an hour until we open presents, I'm walking around the order with Lenalee just talking about random stuff. She mentioned how she got a gift for Komui just to see him happy, even though she was most likely going to be attacked by him. We see Lavi run up to us. "Hey hey hey (bokuto that you 💀)! I convinced Kanda to come to my dorm for, truth or dare, now come on before he leaves. Lavi grasped our hands and dragged us to his dorm. When we got there Kanda was sitting on the ground criss-cross looking pissed as usual. He lets go of us and closes the door. "Now, Lenalee, would you have the honor of starting this game?" She nodded and sat down next to Kanda, who I was across from.
"Hm, Kanda, truth or dare?" She asked and looked at the angry Japanese man. "Dare." He huffed out, and she grinned. "I dare you to wear your hair down and keep it that way until you wake up in the morning tomorrow." Kanda looked sorta surprised at Lenalee's dare but complied anyway. He grabbed the hair tie holding his hair together and slowly slid it down his long sleek hair. Lenalee looked at me and smirked at the red rising up to my cheeks, she and Lavi knew my crush on Kanda and would do anything to try and get us together. I kept glancing at Kanda, I couldn't help it, he just looked so...attractive with his hair down, I couldn't stop blushing. "Usagi, truth or dare." He said looking at Lavi. "Dare!" He yelled. "Fine. Stop addressing me by my first name." Lavi honestly looked offended by that dare. He glared at Kanda before turning to me. "Allen truth or dare." With no hesitation I said. "Dare." Lavi grinned and ran to his closet grabbing white cat ears, I regret my life decisions. "Wear these until we start opening up presents." I sigh and take the cat's ears, putting them on my head. Lenalee hugs me. "You look so cute, Allen-Kun," I sigh. "Thanks..." she lets go and goes back to her seat. "Hm, now Kanda, truth or dare." He glares at me. "Dare," I smirk. "For the whole day, you have to call me Allen."
He looked away. "Fine." He sat up so his back was straight. "Lenalee, truth or dare." She thought for a moment. "Dare." He smirked, it made me blush a bit. "Wear your damn hair down until tomorrow morning." They glared at each other, it was sorta... scary. Lenalee sighed and took her hair ties out, I'd never seen her with her hair down. "Lenalee, you look so pretty." She smiled at me. "Thanks, Allen-Kun."
The game went on, dare after dare, truth after truth, even Kanda looked like he was having fun. "Ok, Allen-kun you get to pick the last person." I nod and look at my options even though I know who I'm going to pick. "Kanda, truth or dare." He looked done for a moment. "Truth." Finally, I can see. "We all know you hate me and Lavi, but do you see Lenalee as a friend?" He grumbled and looked away. "Yea," I swear Lenalee was about to cry tears of joy. "Kanda." She whispered. "But don't think too much of this!" He hissed out, and she nodded and started crying. "L-Lenalee! Stop crying, Komui will kill one of us!" Kanda let out a 'che' and left the room. Lenalee wiped her tears and stood up with me and Lavi. "Ok, let's go." She said as if nothing happened. I took the cat ears off, threw them on the bed, and left with the others.
When we got to the dining hall we sat in our usual spots and turned towards the Christmas tree where Komui was. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we will start by announcing the names of whom the present is for and who it's from. First up we have Lenalee Lee from Komui Lee!" He announced, Lenalee sighed and walked up to her brother. She took the present and walked back to her seat. She opened it, and it was a pillow with Komui's face on it.... "I love you Lenalee!" He screeched. He cleared his throat before announcing the next presents. "We have two presents for Yu Kanda and Allen Walker from Toma the finder!" I and Kanda walked up to the tree and grabbed our gifts. They were genuinely small but I didn't mind. When we got back to our seats, I opened the packaged gift and it was gloves with a small note on it. "To Allen-Dono, I noticed when you activate your innocence, your gloves tend to break, so I thought to get you some more, sorry if it's not the best gift." I smile and look over to Kanda who had a pack of hair ties, I'm guessing his note is similar to mine, since on our first mission together his hair tie broke, and at that moment I fell deeply in love with him. Lavi was walking back with a gift by the time I looked up. "It's more books, I already know it." When he opened it, there were more books.
The announcements kept on going on, I got a few more gifts as well as Lavi, Lenalee, and Kanda. Until there was one last gift. "This next gift is to Allen Walker from." He paused and pulled Reever down to look at it, Reever nodded and Komui continued. "It's from General Marian Cross." Are you kidding me? I walk up, take the gift while keeping my composure, and walk back to the others. I opened the present waiting for just cardboard but it wasn't. It was a picture of Mana. I held back my tears and read the note. "Dear Allen, I know today is a painful day for you kid, and I also know you don't have any pictures of Mana, so here." Tears begin to roll down my face. I quickly grab the presents gifted to me and run to my dorm closing the door. I hug the picture of Mana crying harder than before.
After a while, I stopped crying and put the picture on my bed. "I may hate Master Cross, but I need to thank him when I get the chance," I whisper to myself.
It's been at least an hour since the gift opening and I was in my nightwear ready to get some rest. Before I could even lie down there was a knock at the door, I guessed it was Lenalee since she saw me crying. I opened the door and it was Kanda. He quickly embraced me, resting his head on my shoulder, making me flush a deep red. "Merry Christmas... and happy birthday, Allen. Chills ran down my spine as he said my name, wait, happy birthday? "How did you-." I was cut off. "I took a peek at the files and it said you were adopted on Christmas, and you considered it your birthday." He said into my ear, while he was talking, I didn't even notice he closed the door.
He lifted his head and looked down at me, before smashing his lips against mine. My eyes bulge out of my head. Kanda was kissing me?! The kiss felt so good, it felt as if this wasn't Kanda's first kiss, his lips were so soft. Slowly, I began to kiss back. Shortly after, he broke the kiss and smirked at me. I couldn't tell if I was blushing because of the smirk, of his hair being down, or probably a combination of both. He then opened the door and was about to leave, but before he had the chance, I grabbed his hand. "Do you think... you could stay in my dorm tonight?" I expected him to say no, but he put his hand on mine and turned to me. "I thought you'd never ask." He said and walked into my dorm shutting the door. He walked up to my bed and sat down on the edge of it. I follow him and lay down.
He lays down next to me and pulls me into his chest, with his strong arms wrapped around me. "D-does this mean we're... boyfriends?" I asked in a whisper. He chuckles, making me blush even more. "If that's what you want us to be, then yes, we're boyfriends." I smile and look up at him, kissing his nose. He ruffles the back of my head, it felt nice. I leaned into his touch and let out a content sigh. "So you like having your head scratched?" I blush and hide my head in his chest. "Y-yea," I mumbled, very embarrassed. "I'll keep that in mind when we're alone." I grin to myself. Soon, I get tired and nuzzle my head into his chest. "I love you," I whisper out, praying he didn't hear. "I love you too."
