My Jake

Stay

     "NEYTIRI" Jake yelled as he saw his mate get shot in the back by one of the sky people. Jake ran to her as fast as he could. "Neytiri" Jake sobbed holding her head in his hand and using the other to put pressure on her wound. "My Jake" she whispered as she held his cheek in her palm. "Please guide our children to be great worriers like their dad" she asked. "No, you will teach them to be great like you" Jake said hunched over his wife. His tears falling on her. "Eywa has chosen me today" Neytiri told him. "No, you won't die here Neytiri. I won't let you!" Jake sobbed violently. "My Jake" Neytiri said once more, bringing Jake's forehead down to meet hers. They pressed their foreheads together remembering their time together, their children, every happy moment they shared. Jake felt Neytiri's body go limp. "Neytiri?" Jake said. "NEYTIRI" He shook her repeating her name. "NO NO NO NO NO!" Jake screamed. He bent over his love's body and screamed from his core. He screamed with every fiber in him. All of the passion, anger, love and sadness spilling out of him like a river. Jake gently set her down and took her bow. He was going to kill every person from earth if he had to. Anything to bring his love back. His Neytiri. His children's mother. He would die for her.
     It had been four years since then and they sky people were returning. Jake knew he had to take his family and leave. He couldn't risk the same fate for his children as Neytiri. He thought they would be safe somewhere else. Jake spoke to Mo'at and he gave up his life as chief to someone else who was worthy. Jake, Kiri, Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Tuk said their goodbyes before flying to the water tribes. "Now remember" Jake said " I want you all to be on your best behavior. These people are taking us into their home so we must treat it as if it is our own." "Okay?" Jake asked. "Yes sir" they all agreed. Finally the Sully's made it to the water tribe. They hopped off their Banshee's and greeted the people using an "I see you" motion. Jake heard loud splashing next to him and saw, what looked like, water Banshees. Two Navi hopped off and landed in-front of Jake and his family.  "I see you Tonowari" Jake said to the chief. "I see you" Tonowari motioned back. They made eye contact for a while. That wasn't unusual at all when greeting someone but something about Tonowari's stare made Jake feel different. Jake couldn't decide for himself if that was good or bad for he didn't have the time. His family needs a place to stay so he is willing to do anything in his power to show his worth. "We have come here seeking refuge from the demons attacking our land." Jake told them. "Where is your mate?" The chief's wife asked peering at the forest Navi. "She-" Jake paused and looked down. "She was killed by one of them." The people were shocked. News never got around that the former Chief's wife had died. "Daddy" Tuk said coming to Jake's side. "I know baby" Jake told her as he picked her up and held her close. "Please, I need my family to stay safe" Jake pleaded. Tonowari looked at Jake, then his children. "The Forest people will stay with us and we will teach them our ways." Tonowari decided. "Thank you" Jake said and he reached his arm out to shake Tonowari's. Jake felt a bolt of electricity when their hands touched. Tonowari gave Jake's arm a slight squeeze before they let go. Their eyes caught one more time before they were led to their sleeping quarters. "Oh and Jake" Tonowari called out. Jake turned around to look at him "Meet me here before eclipse so I can teach you to ride." Tonowari said. Jake's eyes widened. Was he saying what he thinks he was saying? "An Ilu of course" Tonowari said laughing at the face Jake made. "Oh yeah okay" Jake called back, turning around. His heart beating rapidly in his chest.
       It was finally an hour until eclipse. The kids were out swimming and learning about the people. Jake headed down to the secluded beach away from everyone. He was oddly nervous awaiting Tonowari's arrival. He hadn't felt nervous since he was almost killed by those forest creatures on his first night in Pandora as an avatar. Then he remembered how Neytiri had saved him and changed his life. God how he missed her. He just hopes she understands that he is re feeling love for someone again without even realizing it. Rapid splashing interrupted his thoughts. Looking up he saw Tonowari's toned body glistening with water. "This is the one" Tonowari told him wrestling the creature. "You sure you got it?" He asked. "Of course I do" Jake told him. Hopping on Jake took off. "WOAH" He yelled at the unfamiliar feeling. After a few seconds he was thrown off. "Ohh" Tonowari hissed, knowing that hurt. Jake swam to him. "Again" he said. Tonowari smirked. Jake kept trying again and again. Until finally he was able to take the beast on without falling. "YEAH DID YOU SEE THAT BABY" Jake shouted. Tonowari laughed at Jake's enthusiasm. "C'mon, let's go for a ride" Tonowari challenged. "Oh it's on" Jake said.
     "Wohoo!" Jake yelled as the creature leapt in the air and returned back to the sea. "Ay Ay" Tonowari yelled along. They rode until their muscles were to sore to stand. They lied down on the sand catching their breathes. Jake seemed to have a particularly harder time catching his though. "Hey sit up" Tonowari told him. Jake sat up, rapidly gasping for air. "Breathe from here" Tonowari said, putting his hand on his stomach. Tonowari demonstrated breathing in and out of his mouth. Jake copied him. Slowly he got his breath back. Tonowari unconsciously moved his hand to Jake's chest. "Your heart is beating very fast" Tonowari said. "Why's that?" He asked. "I think it might have something to do with you" Jake accidentally told him. "I like that" Tonowari said, gently pushing Jake on his back. He leaned over him and lightly kissed Jake's lips. "I'm sorry" "I know you were mated and I shouldn't take that away from you" Tonowari looked away sadly. "I've wanted to kiss you every since I met you. Neytiri and Eywa understand, otherwise I wouldn't feel this was towards you." Jake said catching the other's eyes. "Trust me" he assured Tonowari. Tonowari gently held Jake's face and kissed him again. Jake kissed back passionately. Multiple kisses shared before Tonowari kissed Jake's neck, nose, and forehead. "We will not mate for now and instead share kisses and warmth" Tonowari whispered in Jake's ear. Jake shuddered and brought Tonowari's face back to his. Their lips met again and Jake opened his mouth for Tonowari to explore. They continued kissing until their lips were swollen. Jake cuddled into Tonowari's neck as they laid. Shortly after they fell asleep without a care in the world.
