My Jake

Time For War

     Jake and Tonowari immediately ran out of the hut and to the village. While they were running Tonowari signaled for the man with the conch to sound the war alarm. The shell echoed all across the village. It's waves of intensity immediately alerted everyone that it was time. Navi were running out, weapons in hand and Ilus signaled. "Tonowari you stay on the sea and I will stay in the sky!" Jake shouted. Tonowari nodded his head and called for his creature. "Hyah!" Jake yelled as bonded with his Banshee. The wind was blowing in his face as Jake squinted for his children. "LO'AK!" He shouted into his neck piece. No response. "FUCK" Jake screamed. He tightened his legs around the animal and told it to go lower. The banshee listened and dived closer to the sea. Jake spotted the boat closer to the Horizon. He could see the other Navi below him. "Lower" He commanded again. Jake flew along side Tonowari. "I need you to tell them to be careful!" Jake yelled. "They have some crazy weapons I know most of your people haven't seen and they can kill hundreds!"  He told him. "I will, now go get our children!" Tonowari commanded. Jake did a quick nod of his head before flying higher. He loaded his gun and started firing at all of the people he saw. Jake flew up to one of the engines and put a bomb in. It exploded immediately and tilted the ship. He didn't want to ruin the other in case his children got trapped. Jake hopped off the Banshee and landed on the cool metal of the ship. He started shooting at everyone he could. He even killed a few that were in Navi bodies. "Dad Dad! Over here!" He heard Tuk cry. "Tuk!" Jake turned around and saw his two daughters strapped to a railing. He pulled out his pocket knife and set them free. "Where are your brothers!?" Jake asked Kiri. "Last I saw them we were all swimming away and we got taken. Before they could grab us Lo'ak's whale took them." Kiri told her dad. "Tonowari's children too?" Jake asked. "Yes, all of them." Kiri responded. "Okay Kiri grab your sister I'll call for the Banshee again. Tuk you will sit in front of me and Kiri you behind. Is that understood?" Their father asked them. "Yes sir" they responded. The animal arrived again and Jake hopped on. Kiri handed him her sister as she got behind. In the air Jake could spot all 5 of the other kids on a small rock. "Okay hang on I need to tell Tonowari to retreat" Jake told his kids. They dived to the back of the ship. "Tonowari!" Jake yelled. "Yes my Jake!" Tonowari yelled back. "You have to tell them to retreat!" Jake said. "What!" Tonowari shouted. "I'm going to bomb the other engine and the gas tanks so the ship will explode. "You all have to get as far away as you can in 5 minutes. Your children and my sons are on a rock not to far from here. You have to take them further back!" He shouted. "I'm on it!" Tonowari said. He blew a retreat conch that he pulled from his pocket signaling for everyone to get back to the water. All of the Navi hopped off the ship and went to their Ilus. Jake and his daughters got higher in the air and watch them go back to the land. Jake saw Tonowari and Ronal take the kids back. "My Jake huh?" Kiri grinned. "It's not like that" Jake told his daughter. "Oh yeah then why have you two been sneaking off the whole time we've moved here?" Kiri asked. "For important adult matters" Jake dismissed her. "What?" Tuk asked confused. "Nothing" Kiri said. "Just that dad's got a new boyfriend" She said laughing. Kiri reminded Jake of her mother Grace so much. "You sound just like your brother" Jake said laughing. Kiri frowned because she didn't want to be like Lo'ak. "Am not" she said. "Are too" Tuk said. They stuck their tounges out at each other. "Okay girls hang on, we're about to bomb this son of a bitch" Jake told them. "What's a bitch?" Tuk asked. "I'll tell you when you're older" Her dad said. Tuk pouted at that. Jake clicked his throat and they were off. "Hang on" Jake said as he bit his teeth on the metal plug in the grenade. The banshee swung by and Jake threw the grenade, which like the other, exploded immediately. Jake bit off another one and chucked it at the gas tank. They flew away at an alarming speed. Behind them the ship completely exploded and no one could have survived it.  They approached the Island and got off the creature. Everyone cheered and danced at their victory. Jake hugged his sons after not seeing them until a few hour prior. "My people!" Tonowari said loudly. "Tonight we will host a great dance. Not only to honor our victory but to honor the great lives saved from Toruk Makto, Jake Sully." Tonowari told everyone motioning to Jake. "Thank you My Jake" Tonowari said smiling. The kids looked at each other and grinned. "Thank you Tonowari" Jake said holding his hand. "Now let's enjoy the festives of tonight and the victory against the sky demons!" Tonowari shouted. Everyone cheered before leaving to prepare. "Come with me" Tonowari whispered to Jake. "I will give you the proper clothing and body paint for this dance" he told him. "Okay" Jake smiled as Tonowari held his hand and led him through the village to where he stayed. Jake was going to make the best of tonight.
