Break the ice ?

"Okay, guys since we had all gathered here for like ten minutes now, why don't we get acquainted shall we ?" said Lila.
"That is a good idea. Okay then. What is your name ?" asked Shaun to Lila.
"My name is Lila and this is my friend Ari. She is super shy by the way." teased Lila. And Ari gently elbowed Lila for her tease just now.
"My name is Ariana but just call me Ari, Lila just like to tease me that way." Ari muster some courage and try to get out of her comfort zone.
"I thought I would never hear your voice Ari. As far I remembered, you were so quiet back in high school." interfered Shaun.
"Wait, what ? You guys were school mate ?" Lila ask.
"Well technically yes. But we never get to talk much back then as Ari was the smart kid and always at the library." added Shaun.
"Lila, for your information, Shaun was the most popular kid in school back then and he would not want to be friend with a girl like me" tease Ari.
"Wow Ari. You sure know how to break the ice huh ?" added Shaun.
"Hahaha you guys are so funny. I like you guys already. We could be great friends I can tell." Lila trying to calm the situation.

Okay students, everybody had found their group right ? Let's start !

After the first session ended, Shaun could not stop think of what Ari said just now.
"Shaun was the most popular kid in school back then and he would not want to be friend with a girl like me"
Shaun was disoriented and disbelief. He did noticed Ari back in school but he keep on wondering why he never knew her before. He thought to himself.
While Ari was so humiliated and regret saying what she said earlier to Shaun. And starts to overthink what will Shaun think of her. And how will she faces him tomorrow.
"Hey Ari, where has your mind gone to?" interrupted Lila as she saw Ari gaze to herself.
"Oh uhh nothing Lila. I was just thinking of my cat at home. Seeing that cat over there reminded me of Kiki." answers Ari.
"I thought you were thinking of Shaun." again Lila try to tease Ari.
"Hey, why would I think of him ? ask Ari
"Well you guys seem to have that chemistry you know. And I saw Shaun also kind of had that look for you." said Lila.
"Don't be silly Lila. Shaun just being nice. Let's just get our dinner and go back to our dorm, okay ? Ari replied.
Okay Ari. What ever you say. Let's go over there, the food looks YUMMM !
