Chan sighs, rubbing at his eyes as he watches the sun peek in at them through the cracks between the curtains. He slept at most an hour or two. His head was far too busy for him to get much more rest than that. He hadn't moved much though. The fear of waking EunHye from even the slightest shift of his weight stopped him from getting truly comfortable.
After a lot of thought, he's just not sure how he's going to be able to face SeungMin. SeungMin hung up on him right after he told him. Every one of the boys know just how close he is with EunHye. It only makes sense he's the closest. They met a long time back when EunHye was a trainee. She hadn't lasted very long, but she still stuck around JYP for another job.
The other boys slowly got close to her through their English lessons. One day, Chan had drug her along to one of their little fun days in the practice room because she was fairly comfortable with the other boys. He didn't think they'd all hit it off as well as they did, but at first he was happy about it.
Chan was thrilled his best friends—his brothers—were able to have fun and joke around with his other best friend he met before he met most of them. During his difficult and at times, dark trainee years, he'd often turn to EunHye to help him relax and take a bit of a break from the pressure. He'd ask to visit EunHye for a lesson, convincing everyone that she was also a really good Korean tutor for him. They never argued with him. If getting a Korean lesson from EunHye meant he was recharged and ready to go again in an hour, they were more than happy to let it happen.
Chan's pulled out of his little daze as EunHye stirs beside him. She groans softly as her palm presses against his chest to help her shift a bit beside him. He watches her closely, trying to gauge if she's going to fall back to sleep or not.
"Mhm—Channie?" EunHye hums groggily, the feeling of Chan's warmth beneath her calming.
"I'm here." Chan speaks up without much thought, immediately shifting to help her get comfortable.
"You look tired. Did you not sleep?" EunHye questions, rubbing at her eyes as she slowly sits upright.
"I'm okay." Chan reassures her, quickly wrapping his arm around her waist to catch her from falling off the couch. He pulls her towards him protectively, catching her off guard. Her face hits his and she pulls back.
"Shit—" EunHye curses as her hand flies up to touch her lip.
"Fuck—are you alright? Sorry—I didn't want you to fall." Chan ignores his own injury to check on her. He attempts to get a look at it, but she gets to her feet and heads toward her room.
"I'm fine—" She turns down his assistance, not out of anger, but instead out of shock.
Chan hops up, following after her at a distance. He watches nervously as she slips into her bathroom, leaving the door wide open behind her. The desire to run after her and shower her with love while apologizing over and over eats at him, but he knows better. He knows she needs a minute. If she needs him she'll let him know.
"Channie—" EunHye peeks out of the bathroom to see him standing in the doorway of her room.
"Hm?" His head immediately lifts to look up at her.
"Can you—can you help me?" EunHye asks hesitantly, her hand covered in blood.
"Shit—yeah—I'm coming." Chan doesn't waste a second before jumping into action.
Delicately, he picks her up and sets her on the edge of the counter. Spinning around, he snatches up a washcloth and turns on the cold water to get it wet. Chan gently tugs her hands away from her mouth before replacing them with the cool towel. A loud ringing echos through the apartment, radiating from the living room.
