The plane landed and you and Riley were off and in the airport of England . You took in all the new sights and even Riley was smelling around trying to get used to the new things . You took your phone off of airplane mode and you texted back hunter .
" hey I just landed hbu ?"
You said .
" Me too , I was wondering if we could meet at one of the shops called Buddy's. It's here in the airport before I head home we can get to know each other more."
He texted back .
" sure but only if it's okay with my dad ."
You responded.
You turned to ghost and ghost looked down at you .
" Dad, can we get buddies ?"
You asked hoping he would say yes .
" Fine but stay close ."
He said,
" Okay ."
You said with a smile on your face .
You went ahead of ghost with Riley and you walked quickly . It wasn't long before you were in front of the shop and you saw Hunter with his mother . You rushed over with Riley trying not to trip over your own crutches .
" Hey y/n ."
Hunter said softly .
You almost tripped and fell but hunter gently pulled you up, getting you back on your balance.
"Sorry if I touched you , I didn't want you to fall."
Hunter said hoping that he didn't upset you or make you uncomfortable.
"No you're good , so what's up ?"
You said softly .
Riley stood and stared down hunter bit letting
Him out of his sight.
" what type of music are you into ?"
You asked hoping to start a conversation.
" I'm into phonk and rock ."
He said.
" I'm into ( your favorite music ) ."
You said .
Ghost walked over and he stood at a hood distance watching over you . Hunters mom left you and him alone and she went over to Ghost.
" I see your daughter and my son get along."
The woman said nervously .
" She hasn't had many friends, this should be good ."
Ghost said sternly while looking at you .
" I'm autumn ."
The woman said as she stood next to ghost looking up at him .
" Simon ."
Ghost said sternly .
" Nice to meet you ."
The woman said softly but still a bit nervous.
" Same to you as well ."
He said.
" So y/n what's your favorite animal ?"
Hunter asked .
" it's ( y/f/a ) ."
Y/f/a = your favorite animal.
" oooo those are really cool ."
He said interested in your answer.
" how about you ?"
You asked while looking at him .
" It's a cheetah , it's really fast ."
He said In a excited tone .
" awesome , I've heard about them before ."
You said as you looked down at Riley and back at hunter.
" I see you're a soldier ."
Autumn said to Simon .
" I am ."
Ghost said simply wanting to avoid conversation about it.
" Are you a single father ?"
" Yes I am ."
Ghost said slowly .
" I am a single mother , kids can be tough dealing with at times ."
Autumn said softly .
Ghost looked down at her and stared at her for a moment.
Wow she's kinda pretty .
He thought to himself but tried to shrug off The feeling .
" So uh your son seems to take a liking to my daughter aye ."
Ghost said sternly.
" Yeah , he hasn't made too many friends as well."
Autumn said .
They both watched you and Hunter talk to each other and they saw how good you were to each other .
Hunter took a step closer to you causing Riley to growl a bit . Hunter backed up and held up his hands showing he meant no harm .
" Riley at rest ."
You said firmly and he went between your legs and he lied down on the ground .
" sorry about that he gets protective ."
You said apologetically.
" You're not the only one ."
Hunter said as he gave your dad a glance. .
Ghost was staring him down as if he were getting ready to attack .
" They both like that. It's pretty normal but don't think much of it ."
You said nonchalantly .
" Hey, since you said you make masks, could you show me one ?"
Hunter asked .
" Sure."
You said as you placed down your rucksack and grabbed out your mask .
" wow that's really really cool."
Hunter said fascinated by your work .
" It's nothing much ."
You said smiling while rubbing your neck nervously.
" You know you're really cool ."
Hunter spoke .
" Thanks , you are as well ."
You said while blushing a bit .
" If you want we could hang out sometime in the city if you want to ."
He said as he stepped a bit closer to you .
" sure that would be nice ."
You said with a smile.
" How come you wear that mask?"
She asked .
" That's classified information."
Ghost said sternly .
Ghost knew there was something up with the mother . She was extremely nervous but he figured that it was just that she was afraid of his intimidating demeanor.
" I gotta go with my dad so I'll be back soon to see you and FaceTime later ?"
" yeah sure , bye y/n"
You waved off to him and went to your dad's side with Riley .
" c,mon, let's catch a cab to the house alright."
Ghost said softly as he put his hand on the small of your back .
" Okay ."
You said as you waved off hunter again and ghost waved to hunters mother quickly and then put his attention back on you.
You went outside in the front of the airport and you waited for a cab . Once you saw the yellow cab arrive you got in . You placed your rucksack on your lap and so did Ghost . Riley sat in the middle and when you got in the cab you were off and about. You looked out the window to see that it was starting to hit morning time . You yawned a bit and leaned on the door and you fell asleep . Once you had arrived at the house it was a feeling ghost couldn't understand .
Ghost tipped and payed the driver and he picked you up and sling you on his shoulder making sure not to wake you and he took your Rucksack and he took his along with your crutches and he gestured for Riley and Riley got out himself and he went up to the door of the house . It was a small house, nothing too big but it was a decent size . He took out his keys and he opened the door and he met with an all too familiar smell.
It was first the way he had left it before he left for the military . He placed down the rucksacks and he closed and locked the door behind him . There was a small sized kitchen with a counter and a nice sized living room with an officer door near the front door. There was an upstairs with two bathrooms and there were two bedrooms. There was ghosts room and there was an empty room with only a desk and a bed . There was a nice sized closet along with a small dresser .
Ghost went up the stairs quietly and he went into the room down the hallway on the left and he placed you in bed . He pulled the covers over you and you loved in your sleep and got comfortable.
He whispered goodnight and he closed the door behind him and he went back downstairs . He took off Riley's leash and hung it where the keys went and he took off his vest . Ghost let him be and he went back upstairs and went into his bedroom. His room had a desk and pretty much the same thing as you but his room had a little balcony . He shut the door behind him and he took off his gear . He took of his mask and he decided to shower .

Time skip ——

He got out the shower and put the towel around his waist and he dried off his hair . Once his hair was dry enough to his liking he slipped his mask back on . He put on underwear and he put on a shirt with some shorts . He opened his door and he went downstairs to the front door and grabbed yours and his rucksack and he went back upstairs. Riley ran behind him and followed and went into his room . He opened your room door gently and placed your rucksack in your room neck to your door inside and closed it .
He went and threw his rucksack in the corner of his room and he shut the door and he slipped under the covers . Riley sat near his bed and stared at him for a moment. Ghost looked up and sighed at Riley .
" Alright, fine , this once ."
Riley wagged his tail and jumped on the bed and slept on the other side of ghost . Ghost set his phone on the little end table and he thought about it earlier .
Who was the woman and why was she so nervous .
He thought .
He wanted answers but he couldn't get any and for now he wanted you to rest and be a kid instead of being a soldier .
