Eren x YN comfort

I won't watch you die.

The fire crackles in the distance and you stand infront of the cold metal bars of Erens prison cell. You look at him, he doesn't look back. He just stares into nothing. "Eren please..." you say, but he still won't look at you.
Thanks to you being able to sneak the keys away from the guard, you grab it out of your pocket and pushed it into the lock. That's when the long haired man finally looked into your direction. "What the hell are you doing woman." he says and sighs. You enter the cell as silently as possible, closing the door again. "Why won't you talk with me..." you say, still facing the bars. Another sigh leaving Erens lips. "I can't be with you (Y/N). There is no way. Ever." he speaks calm, tears shooting right into your eyes and you swallow heavily, biting onto your bottom lip. "Why..." you whisper. "Please...just accept it and leave." he answers. You turned around, tears rolling down your cheeks and the man had a hard time keeping his cold attitude up, seeing you like that. Another sigh.

He walks over to you, towering over you, eyes lingering on yours. They wander between your eyes and lips, up and down, up and down. His arms finally reached for you and he embraced you. Tight. Dearly. As if his life would depend on it. "I can't tell you why, (Y/N)...please..." he says breathy. "Are you...crying...." you whisper as you hugged him back, sniffling. No answer. "Eren please...." you once again beg him. Eren soon leaned back again, his left hand on your left cheek, caressing it with his thumb. A moment of silence followed. "What I plan on doing...is something I don't want you to be involved in. It is...horrible and might lead to....my death." he finally spoke and you fall silent for a while now too. "I don't....want you to be sad over someone, that will do what I will do." he continued, you still kept quite. A heavy sigh escaped your lips this time. "If you....don't want to tell me whatever it is you are doing...then...I will accept that. But don't think I'll ever watch you die." you finally say and another moment of silence follows. The tall man sighs once again, his eyes again wandering up and down your face. He then leaned in and gave you a soft and sweet kiss.

"Let me stay here tonight...please..." you say and Eren just nods in silence. He guided you to the uncomfortable place he slept on and sat down. He putted off his sweater and gave it to you. "Here... That thin shirt won't do down here." he says softly and you gladly putted it on, knowing that his scent would surround you soon. You both lay down together, your head resting on his bare chest and he pulled the blanket over the two of you. You softly caress his chest, while the young man played with your hair. Both of you lay in comfortable silence, until you finally fell asleep.
