*John POV*

Me and Scott had just gotten to coach's office to tell him we can't play tomorrow night

Coach: What do you mean, you can't play the game tomorrow night?

Scott: I mean–we can't play the game tomorrow night.

Coach: You can't wait to play the game tomorrow night.

Scott: No, coach, we can't play the game tomorrow night.

Coach: I'm not following.

Scott: I'm having some personal issues.

John: And I have something to do.

Coach: Is it a girl?

Scott & John: No.

Coach: Is it a guy? You know, our goalie Danny is gay.

John: Coach I know that I hang out with him.

Scott: Yeah, I know, coach, but that's not it.

Coach: You don't think Danny's a– good–lookin' guy?

I chuckle cause coach thinks Scott is gay

Scott: I–think he's good–looking. I–but I–I like girls. And that's not it, anyway! I–I–

Coach: What, is it drugs? Are you doing meth? Because I had a brother that was addicted to meth. You should have seen what it did to his teeth– They were all cracked and rotted. It was– it was disgusting.

Scott: My–God. What happened to him?

Coach: He got veneers.

John: Veneers?

Coach: Is–is that what this is about? Are you afraid of getting hurt, McCall?

Scott: No–I'm– Having some issues dealing with aggression.

Coach: Well. Here's the good news. That's why you play Lacrosse. Problem solved. It's just like charls, I know she'll be in the team when she's your age.

John: she might be a good player too.

Coach: Yeah maybe.

Scott: Coach, I can't play the game tomorrow night.

Scott repeated infuriated.

Coach: Listen, McCall. Part of playing first line is taking on the responsibility of being first line. Now, if you can't shoulder that responsibility, then you're back on the bench until you're ready.

Coach fired.

Scott: If I don't play the game, you're taking me off first line?

Scott asked in disbelief.

Coach: McCall, play the game.

I was now sitting in math bored out of my mind cause I finished the homework and I toke a stupid IQ test turns out I have an IQ of 207

I look to my side to see Charlie drawing on a piece of paper I was about to as what she was drawing when I hear Lydia whisper something to Scott

Lydia: Why is there a rumor going around that you're not playing tomorrow?

Scott: 'Cause I'm sort of not.

Lydia: I think you sort of are. Especially when you brutally injure my boyfriend by ramming into him. Luckily John was able to help him.
