Weakest Saint

Author here. Since this is a new story any feedback is appreciated. Also if I see a comment I like I'll post it in the next chapter (offer stands for all future chapters). Anyways let's begin.

...

"Ah, I see. This is where they suck you in."

Subaru said as he flipped through some manga he randomly picked off the shelf 

Subaru having finished with the manga put it back on the shelf and turned his attention toward the chips section 

"...Nah, Natto."

Subaru having picked his flavor of the night, approached the stores front counter to pay for the items

"That'll be 363 yen."

Subaru picked up his wallet and after reaching into it pulled out a small coin

"Oh, a grooved edge ten."

Subaru put the edge ten back in his wallet and paid with normal coins

Upon paying the store employee put all the items in the bag Subaru brought with him

Subaru having finished his business in the store left the building and started to walk towards the road.

Subaru stopped at the edge of the footpath and watched as a car (possibly a Subaru car) passed him.

Subaru watched the car pass him for a few seconds before deciding to continue moving with one hand on his bag and the other in his pocket 

However, after only a few seconds of moving an ominous dark hand surrounded by mist began to come out of thin air reaching for Subaru.

Upon almost reaching Subaru a light gust of wind blew past Subaru causing him to look around while softly rubbing his eyes

"I guess anyone's eyes would be tired after holing up in their room, gaming all day."

Subaru continued to rub his eyes for a bit. As he rubbed the world seemed to be engulfed in light, causing Subaru to wince at the sudden brightness.

And once Subaru opened his eyes

Subaru looked at the empty grass plains before him with a haunted expression 

Subaru looked around, slowly and emotionlessly, not registering that he had just been transported from his home.

"What's going on?"

Subaru asked out loud to no one in particular as his eyes continued to look around in disbelief 

"Where am I?"

Subaru began looking around more frantically as his worries grew

"Where's the roads, street lights, and convenience store!"

Subaru continued to look around as his worries grew

"Was I kidnapped somehow? But that wouldn't make sense why just dump a nobody like me in the middle of nowhere? Perhaps this is a test... maybe there are others and this is one of those sick survival games? Or maybe..."

Before Subaru could continue his ramblings something not too far ahead in the distance caught his attention  

"Huh, what's that?"

Subaru put his hand over his eyes as he tried to focus more clearly on the object

"Too far away to see..."

Subaru looked around one more time just to confirm that there was nothing else to do

"Well, it's either check out that object or run into the forest... No competition there."
