My mom dropped her fork.
"You what?"
I pulled out the ring from my purse and showed her it.
"Honey it's beautiful, I would be so happy about this if I weren't so pissed at you! Is the guy decent?"
"I don't know. I haven't gotten to know him great."
"What are you gonna do?"
"As I said, I barely know him. I basically rambled then you came, then I had to leave."
"Honey you need to talk to him."
"I realize that mom."
"Well we can have an ourselves day. You go figure out your situation, and I'll go to that spa area."
"What do I do mom?"
She grabbed my hand.
"Baby honestly you guys just need to have a long talk about what you're gonna do. Who is this guy anyways?"
"Oh you may know him."
"How so?"
"It's Niall Horan mom."
She started laughing.
"You married Niall Horan? My dreams have just come true!"
I laughed and grabbed my plate and found Niall sitting by himself on his phone. I slid in the booth. He looked up and smiled.
"Hey you."
"Hey."
"How'd your mom take it?"
"As good as she would take it."
"I have to ask the elephant in the room. Are we keeping this?"
He said touching my ring. I felt some sparks rush through my body.
"I haven't really thought about it. Do you want to?"
"I wanna try. But I will do anything you want to. Say this was just a random guy you barely knew and not Niall Horan. Would you?"
"No definitely not. But there's something about you."
"Is it because I'm 'Niall Horan'?"
"No, it's a plus, but I don't know just something about you."
I said eating my food.
"So we wanna try to make this work?"
"Yes."
"Well then that leads to this. Hi, I'm Niall James Horan. I'm 20 in a band called one direction. Nice to meet you."
"Hi I'm Emma Jade Jacobs. I'm 19, and I am in college becoming a teacher."
I was 5 feet tall with blonde curly hair. I was skinny but I had some curves. I had blue eyes and people say I have a small nose and ears.
I shook Nialls hand and smiled at him.
"Now I don't want you to take offense to this but I cannot wear that ring out in public until the world knows. And I don't really know how I'm going to."
"You should probably tell your parents first."
"Yeah I know I will."
"How long are you staying here?"
"I leave tonight. I can stay longer if you need me to."
"No it's fine."
"There he is! Niall mate! Where were you last night? And who is your friend?"
"That is Emma."
"Hi One Direction."
I said laughing.
"Hi Emma, nice to meet you."
They all sat down and looked at me.
"I'm Nialls friend."
I said laughing nervously scratching my neck.
"How'd you two meet?"
"Well we met a couple days ago right emma?"
"Yeah, we met at the casino, I was loosing horribly and he came over and sat next to me and we just started talking since then."
I said smiling.
"Are you married?"
Harry said referring to the ring on my finger.
"Yeah I am, but it's a little complicated right now. Anyways enough about me how about you guys? How are you all doing?"
"Pretty well. How about you Niall, where were you yesterday?"
"I um was with someone."
"Really?"
"Yes really."
"Sorry I couldn't tell because when we went in your room it was a mess so we werent sure."
Louis said laughing.
"Well I gotta go shower and go to my room. It was very nice meeting you guys and I hope we can meet again. I'll talk to you later Niall."
I said getting up and walking away. Once I made it to the hallway my mom hugged me tight.
"I see the way he looks at you baby."
"Mommmmm, I'm 19 I can take care of myself you don't have to spy on me."
"Well I left you for one night and you got married so I don't know."
"How does he look at me?"
I said ignoring her comment.
"Like your dad looks at me. Are you guys gonna call it off?"
"No, we wanna try to make it work. He makes me feel some kinda way. I don't know what it is."
"It's love babe."
"Mom I just met him, I can't love him already."
"Sure you can, love at first sight."
I shrugged my shoulders and went to the room. I jumped when I saw my dad there.
"Dadddd what are you doing here?"
I said slipping the ring off my finger.
"I came to see my ladies. Mom told me you had to tell me something?"
"Oh me?"
My mom nudged me.
"Dad I am no longer a single woman!"
"Oh you got a boyfriend? Honey thats great."
"Nope not a boyfriend."
"I don't get it."
"Wellllllll, I eloped last night."
"You eloped?"
"Dad I married Niall Horan last night at midnight drunk."
His jaw dropped and he scoffed.
"You're kidding."
"Wish I was."
I said sticking my hand out.
"Yeah you married Niall Horan alright. This must've costed a fortune!"
"So you're not gonna kill me?"
"Well honey it's Niall Horan. I've heard good things about that boy."
"I just wish I had a big wedding you know? With the white dress, then drove off to a honeymoon. Didn't work out like that."
I said flopping on the bed.
"We don't hate you honey."
"Really?"
"No, but we need to meet this boy."
"Not yet. He leaves tonight but he said he'll stay if I need him."
"Good man."
My dad said.
"We have to figure stuff out. Which means I may have to move to where ever he lives."
My mom frowned.
"Mom don't look at me like that."
I groaned.
"Well you're my best friend honey I don't want you to leave me."
"Momma I'm 19. In college, I gotta leave sometime."
"I know."
"What about college? You can't just leave college for a boy!"
My dad said.
"Dad I won't blow off school. But I gotta figure this out."
I said sighing.
"I gotta shower and get into good clothes."
I said grabbing a sweater. I hopped in the shower and saw Niall texted me.
"I'm staying here for another week. We need to figure this thing out a little more:) you cannot tell me not to stay!!"
"😂 i won't. wanna go out to dinner tonight?"
"of corse i do, i'll pick you up at 6."
"okay! where are we going?"
"it'll be a surprise."
"ooooo a blind date eh?"
