"What do you mean by "enticing blood"?" Iris asks.

"Oh darling, I mean what I mean. That babe of yours smelled quite delicious and I hardly find babies appetizing enough to drink."

Iris' eyes flew open in shock as she yelled, "You monster!"

The stranger laughs a cruel laugh unlike any Iris has ever heard in her life. She looks at the man in confusion wanting to know how a man like him could be so...evil. The man stops laughing and walks closer to Iris. She scoots away from him into the hard wall ignoring the sounds of the springs on the hard bed. The man isn't bothered by this at all as he smiles and gets on the single bed in front of Iris. She whimpers wondering if he is going to kill her like he did to her baby. The man lifts his hand under her chin and softly caress it.

"That is what I am. As well as you my love. Monsters for eternity," he whispers gently.

"For eternity? What does eternity have to do with my baby?"

"Everything. From the time you laid heavy with it to the time it made you sick. I have been looking at you closely for years my darling. Ever since you were a child and I have got to say," he said as he pecked her cheek, "you have done well for a murder's daughter."

"What are you?" she asks again.

"A vampire," he whispers softly in her ear.

Iris' eyes opened in fear. She starts to squirm under the man's body trying to fight and get away from him but his body was unmovable. The man laughs loudly and gets up from his place. He grabs her arm in a deathly grip and pulls her off the bed.

"Come on my dear! Come meet the family!" he shouts laughing wildly.

Iris starts to scream bloody murder as the man drags her through the room door up a flight of stairs laughing the whole way not caring if she falls and is dragged on her knees. Iris' screams are heard throughout the journey as the man drags her through rooms of vampires dressed in black colors and red as they all laughed at her pointing and taunting. Some even decided to rip her night gown into shreds as she passed them. Iris is soon taken through two grand doors into a room full of quiet vampires. The man throws her on the ground making Iris' body hit the floor with a sick crack. She screams out in agony on the brim of tears. She starts to cry as the stranger walks to a golden chair and reclines. The vampires in the highly decorated room watch Iris behind Venetian Masks not wanting to show any emotion.

"Bring in the Mistress!" the man yells.

Iris doesn't even have enough time to look at the man across the room as she hears the bang of doors behind her. A woman is crying as she is thrown to the floor next to Iris. Unlike Iris the woman doesn't break any bones as she is thrown to the floor. Iris tries her best to catch a glimpse at the unknown woman and is surprised at what she sees. Her childhood friend.

"Look at me," the man orders Iris and her childhood friend.

Iris looks up at the man through blurry eyes and covers her bare breasts with her working arm. Her friend doesn't leave her eyes from the floor as she sobs uncontrollably.

"I said look up!" he hisses.

A man walks to the woman and grabs her by her dark black hair pulling her head in eye view length of the man in the chair.

"You two ladies have been exclusively chosen to join our family of the dark because of certain circumstances in the past hundred years. When I mean family I mean not only people in this house but in the world. Specially you my dear Iris. You are a big part of me mostly. The whore was just in the way of my plans. You two are here because you were going to die anyway. You, Diane Washburn, had consumption. Iris Linely the one and only, you always had a weak body. It was a matter of time until that body of yours was weak from something. In the first case it was the cold. Second, a cut to the arm. Third and final, child bearing. It took a while for the last to come into effect.
