The circus of Navascelles

She had arrived a few days earlier for the Cannes festival, this year she was part of the jury. And it is with joy that she had climbed the steps of the redcarpet.

The crowd around the palace saw the star appear between two policemen, in a white jean outfit, her eyes were masked by large sunglasses but everyone saw that she was in tears, she was wearing sneakers and carrying a white Louis Vuitton bag.

They got into a black Jaguar with tinted windows and drove off quickly.

Sensing that something was going on, the journalists went in pursuit of her, which took them to the circus of Navacelles, a few dozen kilometers away.

A helicopter of a television channel flies over the zone.

A white stiletto heel appears at the opening of the car door and Ava appears with her sunglasses, the bun perfectly attached, she goes down without her jacket and she appears in a blouse and white slim pants.

She goes into the streets of the village. Police barriers block the journalists. Only the helicopter and drones can see what is happening.

We see her stop, a man in black appears. She takes off her sunglasses. He approaches. She looks at him. He holds out his hand as if to get something.

He does not have time to react, he receives a violent blow of punch in the jaw which unbalances him. She grabs him by the arm, brings back him and sends him to the ground. She leans on his back and maintains him on the ground. At the same time, other men in black appear, she draws a weapon of the back pocket of her jeans and draws in the air to maintain them at distance. Gendarmes arrive from behind and manage to handcuff some of them. The others react and escape. They run towards the actress, she gets up and raises her weapon. She holds out a hand and points to her gold watch, a Rolex.

They contemplate it admiringly and enviously, it is the exchange currency, the husband of the star against the Rolex. Ava's husband had been kidnapped a few days earlier, he was a famous director who was shooting a film in Carcassonne.

Suddenly, a matte black Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG comes out of a garage and rushes towards Ava Vander who does not move, the vehicle stops one meter away from her. A dark-haired woman, dressed in black, gets out.

Ava recognizes her and says to her:

- Hello Mrs. Helena Coresco. You will never change. You should understand that James is no longer your husband, but mine.

- We didn't ask you to talk, just to bring the Rolex, husband stealer.

- I didn't steal anything and it's not my fault that we don't have the same style.

- But who does she think she is, the little actress of shit.

- Hey, you'd better watch your mouth, you shrew. I managed to get several Oscars and the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival. So you can keep your whining.

- The Rolex is mine, so give it to me.

- Oh yes, and by what right? This Rolex belongs to my husband.

- He bought it while I was still his wife, so it belongs to me, sharing the property acquired during the marriage, that's what was agreed upon during the divorce.

- Divorce that you had difficulty accepting. It's out of the question. If you want to, you apply to the court after contesting the divorce if there is still time.

- What? This is a joke. You should think about coming down from your pedestal.

- I'm warning you that the police and reporters are here so you're not going anywhere. Kidnapping, sequestration, theft of a luxury watch, it's going to look pretty good in a court of law, if you get out of this place alive, which might not be easy.

- It is you who will not come out of this place alive and James no longer if you do not give me the watch.

- I don't allow you to be on first-name terms with me.

- We do not come from the same world, we are neither friends nor close relatives. I am an actress, my parents are count and countess, I am the wife of a famous director, so you are polite to me.

Helena Coresco did not see her coming, nor the watch, nor Ava's hand, which crashed into her face. Faced with so much insolence and above all with such a pace, she could not hold back. Héléna gave a shout and rushed on Ava who was thrown on the ground, this last one pulled herself together rather quickly. But Héléna pulled her hair, Ava gave a cry of pain and in a burst of rage, she punched her in the nose. Héléna let her go and roared, Ava broke her nose. Ava gets up and flees, the heavy black Mercedes reappears and blocks her passage, a man gets off and pushes her in the 4x4 which starts again. At the same time, close by, a bay window explodes under the violence of the projection of a stone and a young man in his thirties comes out running, he shouts Ava's name. He runs after the vehicle which cannot go fast because of the narrow lanes.

The alarms of the police and gendarmerie vehicles resound in the small town in the heart of the cirque of Navacelles. The helicopter is still flying over the area. The journalists who are following live what is happening via the drones notice that the actress has probably just been kidnapped. The police forces hesitate to intervene because they do not know how to proceed nor what are the intentions of the bandits towards Ava Vander.

The black Mercedes arrived near the journalists who shot the vehicle with their cameras. The vehicle stops, a door opens, they throw Ava from it and she falls on the ground and hurts her face. Her husband runs over with the police. He leans towards his wife and calls her, she does not answer, her face is bloody and she is faint. Her husband's face is covered with tears. He takes the gun from the pocket of his wife's jeans and unloads it on the Mercedes. He throws the gun and kneels down next to his wife. The journalists have lowered the cameras of them even the scene is too intimate and shocking to allow the photos.

Helena Coresco arrives. James rushes on her and says to her:

- What did you do to my wife, viper?

- I am your wife and not this bitch. If you knew how she treated me.

- I don't care how she treated you, she did the right thing. But I'm warning you that if she can't act in a movie anymore, it's going to cost you dearly, dearly.

- I don't care, I'll always have our son.

- Our son. You can talk about it because you will never see him again. The court won't give him up for another minute to a nut like you.

- Damn you.

Helena runs to the Mercedes and gets in.

James Vander gets up and sees the Mercedes driving away with the police not knowing what to do, he runs towards them, snatches a gun from a policeman and unloads it on the vehicle. The rear windows explode, the vehicle swerves and the driver seems to have lost his control, he drives into a wall that borders the road, the wall does not resist and opens under the weight of the car that falls. An explosion sounds and a cloud of smoke appears where the Mercedes fell.

Two ambulances arrive all sirens on the way to take care of the Vander couple.

Ava is taken away. James took the Rolex from her and walked alone to the small church and entered it. He comes out with the priest, he no longer has the Rolex. The director's eyes are still wet but he seems a bit calmed down.

The second ambulance takes him away, he is under the shock of all that has just happened and he falls at the end of his strength, he has been kidnapped since two days and since he had not been fed and this last day had exhausted his last resources.

Ava has suffered several abuses, she is covered with bruises, hematoma and her fall from the vehicle has caused a slight head trauma.

The journalists did not make tons for once, the couple is shown as being solid, the husband was at the end of his forces to avenge his wife who had come to look after her husband who had just been kidnapped.
