It's Christmas time

First day at school

So today is my first day of school and I'm really nervous.
"Mom," I started, "why did we have to move?" I questioned her.   "I  was happy where we were."
   "Well we moved because your father had a job offer and he took it." My mom answered.
"Why didn't Dad want to stay where we lived?"
"Well your father is a police officer, and he helps keep the bad people off the streets, he also helps good people in need. This city needed your father more than our other city did, and your father was very brave by moving here. "
" I want to be just like him when I get older."
"Awwww. Your father will be very happy to hear that. You are just going to make his day." 
"But mom?"
"Yes dear?"
"What if the kids there do like me?" "What?"
"Don't like you? Are you kidding me? They're going to love you!" 
"Thanks mom."
"You always know what to say. I love you mom, I'll see you after school." 
"By hun,see you when you get home from school."  
" So now I'm at school and it's lunch time."
"I still haven't made any friends yet, but then when I was just sitting there by myself I seen this other girl who looked just like me and we had the same personality and so I went over to say hello and she was crying."
" I said hi wants wrong she said that her and her parents got in a fight and now the won't talk to each other and my dad throw my mom out."
" Well do you want to be my friend " I asked?"
"I would love to. 
" Thank you"
" What is your name?"
" My name is Annette what's yours?"
" Mine is Harper."
" Yours is so pretty.
" Thanks yours to.
" Do you want to come to my house later?"
" I would love to."
" You know nobody else has ever asked me to be there friend.
" Do you want  to sit beside me in science  class?"
" Yeah I would love to," she responded.
" Mom I'm home " I said and I made a new a friend " I said excited.
" Whoa whoa whoa slow down "mom said,your talking like a mile a minute"
" Who is this "she asked.
" This is Harper my new friend " I said.
" So her parents got in to a fight and I wanted to know if she could stay here tonight?"
" We have talked to her mom and she said that it was fine with her.
" Ok "said because you both need some time to get to know each other,"she said.
" So are you cool with my dad taking us to the house " I asked her.
" Mom is at work.
" Yeah that's fine" she said
" Alright dad's here let's go " I said.
" Dad watch out.......
