Just Us

Alex's POV

It's been 2 months since Justin died. Clay seems alright though because he's stopped seeing his therapist and he doesn't freak out as much so I guess he's mostly recovered from Justin's death. It's one more month until I start college and I'm kind of just chill at the minute, I mostly hang around my house and Tyler's house, I haven't been to Charlie's house as much though I mean, we played video games there a couple times but I haven't met his dad yet. Charlie says his dad is on a business trip at the minute and that I'll probably get to meet him soon.

Honestly, I'm so grateful I met Charlie I mean, I know I tried to blow him off before but once I got to know how kind hearted he was, I knew I would never want to leave him, ever. I don't know what I would do without him, I love him as much as I love my family.

Today is Friday, and every Friday night me and Charlie have a movie night and tonight we chose to watch 'She's the Man' which is apparently one of Charlie's favourite movies so I'm being forced to watch it but who knows, it might actually be good. I go downstairs and my whole family is sitting at the table, I sit down for dinner and the atmosphere doesn't seem right. My dad clears his throat.

"So...hows Charlie buddy?" My dad says.
"Uh yeah he's good." I reply.
"So me and your mother have been talking and we think it would be a good idea if Charlie would like to come to Spain with us at the end of October. I mean, only if you want, he doesn't have to come." My dad says.

We are going to Spain over the Halloween holidays since I'll be off college for 2 weeks.

"Holy shit! I mean- sorry uh I'm just shocked. Honestly that would be awesome! That's really generous of you guys, thanks." I say.

Charlie's POV

My dad is still on his business trip so right now I have the house to myself for a couple more weeks. Alex is going to college in a month and right now I'm just mainly focusing on football and what my career will be. I was thinking going for a football career but I've still got time to think about it so I might change my mind, who knows. Justin's death did change a lot, I mean, we all hung out a bit after it to reassure each other, but now not so much. I guess they are all just focusing on college but some of us still meet up some times, you know like Jess, Ani, Tyler and even sometimes Clay. Me and Alex meet up all the time but that's because he's my boyfriend and I guess that's what couples do.

I tidy my room up a bit because Diego and the rest of the footballers where at my house last night and they got a bit to excited and now my room is a bit of a tip.

Time skip (8:15pm)

Alex's POV

I ring Charlie's doorbell and he opens the door.

"Hey Alex! You made it aha." Charlie says
"Yeah ha wouldn't miss it" I say.

We hug each other and I enter his house. We walk upstairs into his room and wow- I've never seen it this tidy.

"Holy shit your room is really tidy." I say
"Uh yeah no the boys were here last night and completely trashed the place so I spent the day tidying." He says.
"Oh that sucks." I say.
"Come on! Lets get this movie on" Charlie says.

I get on the bed and lay down under the covers, while Charlie goes and puts the movie CD in. He presses play then comes and gets under the covers and holds me in his arms and the movie starts.

Time skip (after the movie ends)

"Sooo, whatcha think..?" Charlie asks.
"Aha I didn't honestly think it would be that good to be honest." I say.
"See? I told you, I knew you would like it." Charlie says.
"So...before I came here, my dad asked me something about Spain." I say.
"Oh yeah, you're going to Spain at the end of October, am I right?" He says.
"Aha yea. So he basically asked me if I could ask you- if you maybe wanted to come with us...?" I ask.
"Wait...me? Like come with you guys to Spain?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"Holy shit! I mean obviously I'd love to go! That's awesome!" He says
"Aha that was my reaction too." I say.

He leans in and kisses me.

"I love you." He says.
"I love you too." I say.
